Proficiency in any particular language doesn't determine the state of mind and behavior

Just as the presence and absence of all kinds of origins, backgrounds, experiences, education, study, learning, training, practice, skills, talents, achievements, status, title, qualification, certification, physical appearance, health condition, fitness level, ability, disability, intelligence, or accumulated information and knowledge, the proficiency in any particular type or many different types of language(s), doesn't determine the state of mind and the behavior of anyone.

Knowing how to proficiently speak, read, write, express, communicate, and interact in all kinds of languages that are existing in this world also doesn't and cannot determine the state of mind and the behavior of anyone.

Wisdom, compassion, peace, understanding, kindness, openness, patience, tolerance, determination, non-possessiveness, non-attachment, non-craving, non-aversion, non-interference, the ability to let go/adjust/adapt/accommodate/withstand, the truth of selflessness and impermanence in all and everything, as well as the ability to allow and respect the perceived reality as it is, and to respect all and everyone and everything as they are, to be sharing the space that doesn't belong to anyone with all and everyone and everything, regardless of whether the perceived reality and all and everything appeared to be something pleasant or unpleasant, desirable or undesirable, and agreeable or disagreeable, are not being determined by the presence and absence of all those names and forms/qualities/abilities/achievements/possessions/identities.

It's very common that most people would ask/question others that they don't know, that they refer as 'foreigners', "Who are you? Where you came from? Where is your origin or birth place? What is your country? Why are you here (in my village/town/country)?"

Many people think and believe that they came from a particular land, that they think and believe is where they belonged, as their ancestors and themselves were born on that land in that space, where they claimed ownership and possession towards the land and the space to be "This is our home, our land, and our space. All these here are ours," and refer themselves as the original inhabitants or the rightful owners/citizens of the land and the space, where they express, speak, read, write, communicate, and interact among themselves under one or a few common language(s) that they think and believe is "Our language(s) and our culture." And they refer all the others that are not (already) one of them, that only exist/arrive/live/make a living on the land and space after them, that have some other backgrounds or cultures, as 'foreigners'.

There are also many people think and believe that many of their social/national problems are caused by the presence of 'foreigners' from other different backgrounds that arrive/exist/live/make a living in their country that belongs to them.

Inquire the truth of everything.

Before the presence of any other 'foreigners' in any particular land and space in this world that doesn't belong to anyone,

All kinds of humanity/mentality/behavior/family/relationship/community/national problems have already been existing in anywhere and everywhere, among one another where all the people among the one same community that have the one same background of particular ancestry family heritage, ethnicity, culture, belief, values, and practices, where people express, speak, communicate, and interact among themselves under the same common language(s).

All kinds of dissatisfaction, discontentment, irritation, annoyance, frustration, anger, hatred, greed, discrimination, jealousy, selfishness, possessiveness, offensiveness, defensiveness, cruelty, ill treatment, violence, corruptions, mischievous conducts, hurtful behaviors, misunderstanding, non-understanding, disagreements, arguments, fighting, unrest, disharmony, fear, pride, arrogance, control, hypocrisy, lies, backbiting, backstabbing, blame, politics, interference, exploitation, wars, and etc, have always been existing in the minds within the one same family, community, or nation of the similar ancestry/cultural/social/national background.

Ceaseless conflicts have always been existing in oneself in one's own mind, among the different ceaseless thoughts and desires that are selfless and impermanent, not to say, with another mind, among partner/couple, among parents and children, among siblings, among relatives, among friends, among neighbours, among villagers, among all and everyone of the same origin and background. There are lots of craving, aversion, selfishness, possessiveness, jealousy, anger, resentment, disagreement, argument, interference, intimidation, threat, or power and control.

Human beings (The minds) have been hurting oneself, and their own family members, partner/spouse, parents, children, friends, relatives, and community of the one same origin, background and culture, under the influence of ignorance, the idea of 'I' (the ego), egoism, impurities and restlessness, either wittingly or unwittingly.

Making all and everyone to adopt one's particular language and culture, or one's belief, way of living, way of doing things, values and practices, doesn't prevent or remove all kinds of existing 'problems' that derived from the minds functioning under the influence of ignorance, the idea of 'I', egoism, impurities, and restlessness.

All kinds of 'problems' don't come from 'foreigners'.

'Foreigners' of different backgrounds, cultures, beliefs, values, practices, or languages, with different personalities and desires, are not the cause of all kinds of 'problems'.

It's the presence of ignorance, the idea of 'I', and egoism in the minds, on top of the selfless intentionless attributeless survival instinct that exists in all kinds of organisms, that give rise to all kinds of impurities and restlessness in the minds, that contribute to all kinds of 'problems' in this world of many diversities that doesn't belong to anyone and anything.

Explore without exploit

Life in this world, can be like forever standing at the outside of a giant forest that is unknown to us, looking at the forest from our point of view of where we are with many wild imaginations towards what could be inside and beyond the forest, and never want to take the risk to be exploring what is inside and beyond the forest, to see and experience what is actually there, or we can choose to be walking into the unknown forest to explore what is there and beyond.

However, some people would be exploring the forest while claiming ownership over the space in the forest, exploiting what is in the forest, as well as transforming the space in the forest into something that they prefer, causing many kinds of damages.

Just as some people try to find a place on earth that they feel they belonged to, where they want to stay for as long as possible, and desire to establish a living space and community of their own in a particular way that they prefer, while exploiting what is there in the name of pursuing higher pleasurable enjoyment of life beyond the basic needs for survival, and causing many damages here and there, either wittingly or unwittingly.

While some people don't need to find or establish a sense of belonging, but just to explore the unknown as much as possible without exploiting anything along the way, and wherever they are, they live life as it is, without taking more than what they need to survive, without claiming ownership towards the space or trying to establish a living space or community of a particular way.

Unfortunately, many people growing up were being told that it's highly important to find and establish a sense of belonging towards a particular place, community, culture, belief, spirituality, and etc, as well as emphasizing on the pursue of higher pleasurable enjoyment in life.

Inquire the truth of everything.

It's not 'our world', if we truly love the world

The world doesn't belong to anyone. The world is fine as it is and it doesn't need anyone to protect it if nobody/no community claim ownership/possessiveness/authorization towards the world and desire the world to be and not to be in certain way according to their particular thinking and belief, values and practice, likes and dislikes, agreements and disagreements, or aspiration and expectation towards a world the way that they prefer, that they claimed as "Our world."

Many people like to propagate and say, "The world is ours." and then, "We love our world and we have responsibility towards looking after our world." and then, "We want our world to be like this and not like that." and then follow with, "Protect our world from what we believe as badness and wrongfulness. Get rid of those who are 'bad' and 'wrong', who are 'obstructing' our desire of making our world perfectly the way that it should be."

Just like in all the love relationships among people. Many people don't know what is love when they think they fall in love with someone that they think and believe they love very much, but end up hurting themselves and the one whom they think and believe they love very much. Similarly, we keep hurting the world, when we think and believe we love the world very much, but we don't really know what is love.

We think and believe that we love the person in the relationship with us, but out of ignorance and egoism, there's possessiveness and desire towards the relationship and the person in the relationship with us to be and not to be in certain way, and when the relationship or the person in the relationship with us is not being the way that we expect or desire it to be, but it's being the way that we don't like and don't desire, we will feel disappointed, hurt and angry, and in order to 'protect' the relationship from becoming the way that we don't like and don't desire, we would do something that hurt ourselves and those whom we think we love very much and those whom we think are responsible for 'disturbing' or 'destroying' the relationship that we love very much. And the more we try to 'control' the relationship or the person in the relationship with us to be the way that we desire it to be, we keep hurting the relationship and the person in the relationship with us, whether intentionally or unintentionally, wittingly or unwittingly.

When we claim ownership/possessiveness/authorization towards the world, we don't allow the world being what it is, but we want to 'control' the world to be the way that we desire it to be, and we want to 'protect' the world from being the way that we don't like and don't desire, we are actually 'hurting' the world in the process of making 'our world' the way that we desire, the way that we think how it should be.

When we truly love someone, we love them as they are and we let them go, without claiming ownership/possessiveness/control towards them to be the way that we would like them to be. Allowing them to be what they are, to love us, or not, to be in a relationship with us, or not.

If we truly love the world, even if we think we have good intention, we stop claiming ownership/possessiveness/authorization towards the world to be "Our world." and stop desiring/aspiring/expecting, "We want our world to be like this and not like that." but allowing the world to be what it is.

It's not 'our world'. It's just the world that selflessly allowing all and everything being here.

When human beings begin to claim ownership and authorization towards a land or a space in this world, then only certain kind of people/beings 'will have the rights' and 'will be allowed' to be on that land or be in that space, while some other kinds of people/beings 'won't have the rights' and 'won't be allowed' to be on that land or in that space. But the lands and the space in the world don't belong to anyone or authority. All beings and everyone can be here and there, without anyone claiming ownership and authorization towards the lands and space of the world, as well as without taking any thing for granted.

All kinds of inhumanity and discrimination in the world exist due to the existence of 'authority/government body' that seized ownership and authorization towards a particular land and space and sanctioned all kind of laws of rules and regulations, and 'creating' and 'giving out' certain 'rights' and 'privilege' to certain people and not to some others.

When human beings stop claiming ownership/possessiveness/authorization towards the world, it doesn't mean that everyone would be hurting the world intentionally, or wouldn't be doing something beneficial for the world out of compassion. While those who claim ownership/possessiveness/authorization towards the world and expect the world to be in certain way according to their aspiration and desire of a world that they prefer, would be hurting the world whether wittingly or unwittingly, by protecting what they like and desire while fighting against what they don't like and don't desire.

Anyway, the world will still be what it is, according to the law of nature (cause and effect), with or without many egoistic minds trying to take control over the world to be theirs and desiring a world the way that they like it to be. And the world doesn't have an ego to be bothered about it.

My ego?

Some think and say, "I have a good, happy and kind mind. My mind is good, happy and kind."

Some also think and say, "I have a good, happy and kind ego. My ego is good, happy and kind."

The one who claims possession or ownership towards the mind or the ego, and being satisfied and proud of 'my good, happy and kind mind/ego', is the ego itself.

There is a separateness between 'I' and the object that 'I' thinks it belongs to 'I', that 'I' thinks and believes as 'mine', but at the same time, there is also self-identification that identifies itself as the object that 'I' think it's 'mine'. Such like, "I have a beautiful body and my mind is happy. I am beautiful and happy." or "I don't have a beautiful body and my mind is not happy. I am not beautiful and not happy."

Whatever names and forms that the ego claims ownership and identification are just what they are and they are impermanent. They change as they are, they come and go as they are, they don't belong to 'I', and they are not 'I'. There is no 'I' in control of all the impermanent changes in all the names and forms.

Somehow, there is this idea of 'I' exists in the mind claiming identification, possession, ownership and control towards all these impermanent names and forms. Such like, "I want myself, my life, my mind and my body to be like this and not like that." or, "I want my appearance and my relationships to be like this and not like that." and so on. And the consequences of the idea of 'I' and the desire of 'I want everything to be the way that I like it to be' are restlessness full of mind impurities of dissatisfaction, disappointment, frustration, annoyance, anger, hatred, jealousy, hurt, regret, guilt, animosity, ill-will, offensiveness, defensiveness, pride, arrogance, depression, aggression, violence, discrimination, grief, sadness, painful sorrow, loneliness, meaninglessness, fear and worry. All these are the by-products of egoism of attachment, clinging, identification, desires of craving and aversion, judgment and expectation.

Meanwhile, when the ego wants to claim ownership and identification with certain qualities of names and forms, it also doesn't want to be related or connected to, or be identified with certain qualities of names and forms that it doesn't like or doesn't want, that it perceives as something 'bad', 'wrong', 'negative', 'meaninglessness', 'unhappiness' and 'suffering', based on a particular thinking, belief, cultural or religious teaching and practice about what is 'good and bad', 'right and wrong', 'positive and negative', 'meaningfulness and meaninglessness', 'happiness and unhappiness', 'pleasurable enjoyment and painful suffering'.

None can liberate another being. None can free the mind from ignorance and egoism, but the mind itself.

There is no 'I'. There is no 'my mind' or 'my ego' or 'my body'. It's just the mind, the ego and the body. And they are impermanent.

The mind, the ego and the body are just what they are. They are neither good nor bad. But due to ignorance and egoism, suffering arise. That's all.

Reflect and realize and be free.
