Silence, correct understanding, clarity of thinking and reasoning, absolute knowledge, wisdom, freedom, respect, peace

Silence (the silent undisturbed clarity/state/modification of the mind under the absence of restless egoistic impure veil of ignorance), is the most precious thing in this world of human beings/minds that are functioning under the influence of ignorance and egoism, regardless of the different qualities of names and forms that all and everyone inherited from birth and changing/adopted/developed after birth.

Silence, gives rise to correct understanding, or clarity of thinking and reasoning, or absolute knowledge, or wisdom.

Wisdom, gives rise to unconditional freedom and peace in oneself.

Unconditional freedom and peace in oneself, gives rise to unconditional and indiscriminate respect and kindness towards all kinds of diversities being what they are, as they are, transcending all kinds of duality of good and bad, right and wrong, positivity and negativity, purity and impurity, superiority and inferiority, deserving and undeserving, appropriateness and disappropriateness, accomplished and non-accomplished, success and failure, gain and loss, joyful and joyless, wise and unwise, kind and unkind, selfish and unselfish, and so on.

Unconditional and indiscriminate respect and kindness among all kinds of diversities, regardless of what and how all and everything are, gives rise to world peace in the world of many diversities that doesn't belong to anyone or anything.

The mind that is observing all and everything in silence, as well as performing selfless actions under clarity in silence, understands towards the many other restless minds that are behaving in the way that they behave, where the many restless minds are functioning under the influence of restlessness or ignorance, under the absence of correct understanding, clarity of thinking and reasoning, absolute knowledge, or wisdom.

The silent mind is being undetermined and undisturbed by the disturbing ignorant violent aggressive hurtful destructive behaviors of the restless ignorant minds, and doesn't need to question the restless ignorant minds about why they behave in the way that they behave.

The minds that are restless and ignorant, cannot understand the mind that is silent, that is behaving in the way that it behaves, where the silent mind is functioning under the absence of restlessness or ignorance, under the presence of correct understanding, clarity of thinking and reasoning, absolute knowledge, or wisdom.

The restless ignorant minds are being intimidated, offended, and disturbed by the behavior of the silent mind that they recognized as abnormal, inappropriate, non-acceptable, unreasonable, disrespect, wrong, and bad, and they have the urge to be questioning the silent mind about why it behaves in the way that it behaves.

The silent mind doesn't see or take anyone as 'friend' or 'enemy', regardless of agreeable or disagreeable.

Meanwhile, the restless ignorant minds see or take the one that is agreeable as 'friend' and the one that is disagreeable as 'enemy', and there is the natural tendency to protect and support the 'friend' blindly, and to attack and destroy the 'enemy' that the restless ignorant minds perceived as 'intimidation' or 'threat' to themselves and their 'identity and possession', 'desires and ambitions', or 'dominance and superior status', even when none is intimidating or threatening anyone. However, under the influence of dissatisfaction, disappointment, anger, greed, fear, jealousy, selfishness, desperation, pride and shame, and etc, the restless ignorant minds would betray or hurt their 'friend' as well.

The restless ignorant minds are ceaselessly dissatisfying, complaining, arguing, criticizing, condemning, threatening, opposing, protesting, disallowing, disrespecting, causing disturbance and obstruction and destruction towards all and everything that they dislike and disagree with, that they think and believe and judge and recognize as abnormal, bad, wrong, inappropriate, disrespect, non-acceptable, or unreasonable based on their own particular inherited and adopted/developed ideas, beliefs, values, and practices, that are different from or going against their particular inherited and adopted ideas, beliefs, values, and practices, that they think and believe as normal, good, right, appropriate, respectable, acceptable, and reasonable.

The restless ignorant minds are being disturbed, intimidated, or threatened by their own ignorance of being ignorant towards what they don't know and can't understand, such as they couldn't understand the mind that is silent, and hence, they cannot and don't know how to control, or influence, or manipulate, or oppress, or bully, or conquer something and anything (such as the mind that is silent) that they don't know and don't understand, and that incapability to know/to understand/to control/to manipulate/to bully makes the restless ignorant minds very uncomfortable, agitated, or restless.

The silent mind understands and respects the restless ignorant minds being what they are, as they are, where there is needless of argument or criticism, which only wasting the precious energy and life existence and function, that can be reserved and conserved for performing many other beneficial activities/actions that benefit all and everyone and everything.

The restless ignorant minds couldn't comprehend or respect the silent mind being what it is, as it is, and they have intense desire to be interfering, arguing with, and criticizing the silent mind that is silent, that doesn't interfere with anyone, not to say, that doesn't argue with or criticize anyone for being what they are, as they are, even though the silent mind can utilize the existing available energy, life existence and function, knowledge, understanding, experience, talent, skill, and opportunity, that don't even belong to itself, to be performing certain activities/actions and/or carrying-out all its duty and responsibility towards itself and others and the surrounding environment.

The restless ignorant minds become even more offended, dissatisfied, and disturbed (angry and violent) when the silent mind remains silent, and doesn't gratify their desire of what they want (to be engaging in and empowering argument and criticism that derived from and that also feeds/empowers restlessness and ignorance).

It is like the mad person who is holding and wavering some kind of hurtful weapons in both his hands and keeps shouting aggressively towards the others, "Hey, you all stupid wrongful terrible people! Why are you all going away from me? Why you all don't come to me? I want you all to come to me, so that I can shout at you all to express and relieve my anger, so that I can criticize, discipline, punish, and hurt you all stupid wrongful terrible people, so that you all can hear me shouting at you all, and you all can receive criticism and painful punishment from me. You won't be able to hear me shouting all my anger unto you, and you won't be able to receive criticism and painful punishment from me, if you don't come to me, if you are staying faraway from me. Come to me, now! You are bad and wrong if you don't obey me and don't do as what I tell you to do. Look what you did to me. You made me so angry. You are responsible and accountable for my anger. If you don't come to me now as I am telling you, if you don't let me shout at you, criticize you, and hurt you, I will be getting more angry, and I will hurt and destroy you even more!"

How many minds are drowning in such suffering restless disturbed violent state of mind? Plenty.

Functioning under the influence of the veil of ignorance, unwittingly and ignorantly, it is common and natural that the minds are under the state of pain/discomfort/dissatisfaction/unhappiness/disturbance/anger/ignorance/hatred/jealousy/fear/unable to dominate, or control, or over-power something or everything, but they don't know or understand why or what is happening in themselves, and they don't know how to be free from all THAT, and hence, naturally, in order to express and relieve the pain/discomfort/dissatisfaction/unhappiness/disturbance/anger/ignorance/hatred/jealousy/fear/unable to dominate, or control, or over-power something or everything, they inflict pain/damage/disturbance/destruction unto the others and the surrounding environment.

The minds that understand all THAT, they know that all THAT are neither good nor bad.

There is nothing to be arguing or criticizing about the ignorance and the by-products of ignorance in any mind.

The mind only knows what it knows (what it thinks and believes). What the mind doesn't know (what it doesn't think and doesn't believe), it doesn't know.

None can liberate another.

None can remove ignorance in another, for another.

Not even buddhas, or yogis, or gurus.

One can only liberate oneself.

One can only remove ignorance in oneself, by oneself.

While all and everyone and everything can help, show, guide, or initiate the others to be aware of ignorance and the by-products of ignorance.

That's why all and everyone and everything, including this mind itself, regardless of good and bad, right and wrong, agreeable and disagreeable, desirable and undesirable, pleasant and unpleasant, comforting and hurting, constructive and destructive, kind and unkind, wise and unwise, selfish and unselfish, happy and unhappy, peaceful and peaceless, and etc, are the teachers, the teachings, the practice, the realization, the knowledge, or the dhamma itself.

Ignorance is the by-product of ignorance itself.

Ignorance hinders the mind to know and understand everything as it is.

Not knowing or understanding everything as it is, empowers ignorance.

The mind is ignorant towards ignorance due to ignorance.

It has to come from the mind itself, to be aware of ignorance, to have the intense yearning to be free from ignorance, and to have the ceaseless effort/perseverance and determination to be free from ignorance.

And, under such awareness, or condition, or opportunity, or disturbance, or dissatisfaction, or pain, or suffering, or yearning, or effort, it is absolutely possible to be free from ignorance.

Inquire the truth of everything.

The different personalities, characteristics, experiences, understanding, and desires in the different minds

All minds are selfless, and all selfless minds are having their own particular unique modification of the mind that is selfless, impermanent, limited, conditional, and non-self, even if there are certain cross-similarities among the many different minds.

Even within the one same particular ancestry lineage, family, and community, sharing the one same similar genetic inheritance, where the minds are growing up being surrounded and conditioned by the one same particular traditional or non-traditional family/communal/tribal/cultural/spiritual/religious/political/national/regional/philosophical/educational/commercial ideas, beliefs, values, practices, and visions, that influence the mind to have a particular way of thinking and reasoning, way of doing things, way of living and interacting, and way of conduct, that give rise to particular understanding, agreements and disagreements, and desires and don't desires, that influence the different behaviors or actions and reactions in certain way, but then, each mind also has their own particular unique modification of the mind undergoing specific conscious and unconscious evolution, that influence and determine the different states of mind that impact oneself and others and the surrounding environment differently in certain way and not in certain way, not to say, among the many different minds that are being conditioned by the many different traditional or non-traditional ideas, beliefs, values, practices, and visions, where each mind has their own particular unique personality and characteristic, life experiences and learning process, reasoning and understanding, agreements and disagreements, and desires/don't desires, that are all impermanent, limited, and conditional, that lead to different conscious and unconscious evolution/transformation/changes/outcomes.

Even more importantly, all minds can have their own unique mind thinking and behavior pattern evolving from the existing particular conditional thinking and behavior pattern that was/has been being conditioned by any particular ideas, beliefs, values, practices, and visions, where each mind has or can develop and empower different degrees of patience, acceptance, initiation, determination, perseverance, forbearance, willpower, tolerance, accommodation, adaptation, adjustment, decisiveness, self-introspection, and/or self-control, where there are different unique life experiences and learning processes under the presence of different conditions, situations, ties and connections, relationships, interactions, and activities, that give rise to different knowledge accumulation that influence the intellectual reasoning and understanding, that give rise to different agreements and disagreements, desires and don't desires, that influence the different behaviors, actions, and reactions, that impact oneself and others and the surrounding environment in certain way or not in certain way.

Because all THAT, not only that they are all selfless and non-self, but more importantly, they all are impermanent, limited, and conditional, that are ceaselessly changing being influenced and determined by the existing internal and external conditions and situations that are also impermanent, limited, and conditional. And the presence of conscious awareness/freewill/effort/action/activity under the state of consciousness and semi-consciousness can be influencing all that in certain way or not in certain way, either constructively or destructively, depending on the existing different understanding and desires and don't desires.

The mind that knows and understands this, is fearless and in peace, regardless of what is happening internally in the body and mind, and externally in the surrounding environment of a world that doesn't belong to anyone or anything.

Such mind doesn't desire to be controlling or expecting anyone or anything to be in certain way or not in certain way, but might or might not be making use of the selfless impermanent limited and conditional momentary life existence and function of the mortal body and mind to be performing possible selfless actions within one's ability and limitation, that would benefit oneself and others and the surrounding environment, devoid of the idea of 'I' and egoism, not being determined by the actions and the consequences/fruits/outcomes of actions.

"Performing selfless actions without grasping, while allowing and respecting the fruit of actions being what it is, as it is, and it is impermanent," is the essence of the teachings and practice of yoga and/or buddhism.

The minds that have been coming in contact with such knowledge through reading or hearing, while thinking and believing that they know and understand this, but not really (haven't attained direct self realization yet), they are being determined by the internal and external impermanent changes/conditions/situations, and are being over-powered by the instinctive urge of controlling all and everything to be in certain way and not in certain way, being the slave of the boundless and endless conscious desires of craving and aversion, and being over-powered by selfishness, possessiveness, defensiveness, greed, dissatisfaction, discontentment, fear, the sense of pride and shame, the sense of high and low self-esteem and self-worth, the sense of goodness and badness, righteousness and wrongfulness, meaningfulness and meaninglessness, positiveness and negativeness, auspiciousness and inauspiciousness, togetherness and separateness, happiness and unhappiness, joyfulness and joylessness, pleasantness and unpleasantness, accomplishment and non-accomplishment, success and failure, gain and loss, superiority and inferiority, of all kinds of duality, as well as being over-powered by the sense of boredom, loneliness, emptiness, left-out, unloved, unnoticed, unattended, unrecognized, unsupported, disliked, disapproved, disagreed, disrespected, humiliated, belittled, offended, victimized, depressed, oppressed, lack of freedom, absence of freedom, absence of peace, desperation, painful sorrow, physical pain/discomfort/weakness/injury/illness/aging/decaying, mental and emotional pain/discomfort/shortcoming/hurt/disturbance, of all kinds of physical and mental/emotional suffering. Such mind is restless and peaceless.

Out of restlessness and peacelessness (violent perturbed state of mind), or under the influence of all kinds of unpleasant undesirable impurities or painful suffering, many minds that don't know and/or don't understand towards what is going on in themselves (not knowing Thyself), would behave, act, and react in the way that hurt oneself and others and the surrounding environment, in order to express as well as to relieve such disturbing painful suffering state of mind.

More importantly, all minds under the presence of conscious awareness and cognition to be consciously perceiving and recognizing pain and pleasure/enjoyment and suffering, regardless of who/what/where/how/when, can be free from all that, out of their own conscious freewill, initiative, effort, intense yearning towards liberation/absolute knowledge/unconditional peace, determination, and perseverance.

The uncontaminated genuine yoga and/or buddhism teachings and practice is all about the annihilation of the veil of ignorance that is naturally formed upon the rise of the idea of 'I' (the ego), egoism, impurities, and restlessness in the selfless impermanent limited and conditional modification of the mind under the presence of conscious and semi-conscious awareness, that are all non-self, that doesn't even belong to the mind (the selfless perceptive cognitive intellectual emotional thinking and acting faculty/mechanism that is part of the many different selfless mechanisms/functions/organs/systems of the selfless physical structure of the selfless conscious sentient living organisms) itself, where the mind sees or knows itself upon the annihilation of the veil of ignorance, and realizes unconditional peace, where the mind stops hurting itself and others and the surrounding environment under the presence of absolute knowledge (wisdom) and unconditional peace.

The yoga and/or buddhism practice of performing different practices that suit different minds accordingly, is all about activating the conscious mind evolution process of consciously purifying/quieting/silencing the restless impure egoistic modification of the mind, by developing the basic essential foundation of mental and emotional independence while thinning-out and eliminating the idea of 'I' (the ego), egoism, impurities, and restlessness, via the observation of dispassion, renunciation, solitude, seclusion, non-grasping/non-attachment/non-clinging, non-craving, non-aversion, non-association, non-identification, non-comparison, non-judgment, non-expectation, concentration and meditation, and the practice of silence (Mauna), preparing the mind for performing self-inquiry under an open-mind that is free from the influence of any particular worldly egoistic ideas/beliefs/values/practices/visions, to be inquiring towards the truth of everything that the mind comes in contact with/learns/experiences/sees/hears/reads/being told by some others, especially towards realizing or knowing Thyself, knowing and understanding what is going on in the modification of the mind, of knowing what is the 'I' or the self acknowledgment under the presence of the conscious awareness/perception/cognition that the thinking mind/faculty perceives, thinks, believes, acknowledges, recognizes, identifies, and asserts as 'I', or 'myself', or 'mine' that belongs to 'I' or 'myself', that there is the wishful thinking in the selfless mind would like to think and believe that itself is or has a solid permanent independent infinite immortal individual self existence/identity of an unique individual consciousness/soul/spirit/being, that is devoid of any kind of suffering or limitation, but somehow, it is unwittingly residing/being trapped in the finite mortal impure physical body, that is full of all kinds of suffering and limitation.

Due to such ignorance, the selfless mind is in a state of suffering, or peacelessness, or not free, and there is a natural spontaneous desire to regain or return to that 'suffering free infinite immortal status/identity' that it wants to believe that it is all true, that it really exists, that itself really has, and that is what itself really is (what many minds would like to think and believe that itself is the existence of an infinite unlimited unconditional immortal existence of 'who I really am', that is super powerful - omnipresence, omniscience, and omnipotent, or Shat-Chid-Ananda - infinite existence, all knowledge, and absolute bliss), that belongs to itself.

The one that is or wants to be identifying with something or anything (finite or infinite), is the selfless continuous stream of thinking/thought in the selfless impermanent limited and conditional modification of the conscious perceptive cognitive intellectual emotional thinking and acting mind, that doesn't and cannot exist independently as what it is, where it doesn't exist, not to say, that it cannot function, if without the presence of the selfless support of the selfless energy and different selfless elements that enabling the mind to be existing and functioning as what it is.

The selfless impermanent limited and conditional existence and function of the perceptive cognitive intellectual emotional thinking and acting mind is not the all pervading timeless attributeless selfless universal consciousness that doesn't belong to anyone or anything, that gives rise to the selfless conscious and semi-conscious awareness in the different selfless minds that are functioning consciously and semi-consciously during the states of consciousness and semi-consciousness.

There is absence of conscious/semi-conscious perception/awareness/knowing/acknowledgement/idea/notion towards subject (the selfless perceiver) and object (the selfless objects of perception) under the state of unconsciousness, even though unconscious physical and mental activities are ceaselessly happening for life maintenance.

Subject and object, or the perception of all kinds of duality, or dualism, doesn't exist under the absence of conscious awareness during the state of unconsciousness/deep sleep/coma, even if there are still certain non-conscious subtle brain activities (mental activities/thought current) for life maintenance ceaselessly happening until the brain ceased functioning completely (brain dead/irreversible brain damage or dysfunction), and even if the brain dead conscious-less physical body can still be keeping alive for an extended duration via the continuous support of certain life supporting machines of higher advance science and technology, until the entire structure/systems/components/organs of the physical body ceased functioning and disintegrate eventually and completely.

That is why the silence/annihilation/cessation of the restless egoistic impure modification of the mind or the restless thought current, devoid of the idea of 'I', egoism, impurities, and restless thought activities, where the selfless mind is absorbed into or resting upon the all pervading timeless attributeless selfless universal consciousness (Samadhi), is the core as well as the only objective of the teachings and practice of yoga and/or buddhism, to know Thyself, that is not about to know who I really/originally/initially am (that doesn't exist at all), but to realize the truth of selflessness and non-self in the selfless impermanent limited and conditional mind and in everything that the mind perceives, of all kinds of names and forms, of all kinds of duality and separateness, of 'I'/'myself' and 'not I'/'others', the perceiver and the perceived, the subject and object, the veil of ignorance and the by-products of ignorance, the knower and the knowledge, the experiencer and the experiences, the thinker and the thinking, the actions performer and the actions and the consequences of actions, the one that enjoys and/or suffers and the objects of enjoyment and suffering, the practitioner and the practice, the observer and the observation, the inquirer and the inquiry, the realization, the liberation, and the peace, and so on. All are selfless and non-self.

Even so, most minds that are still functioning more or less under the influence of the veil of ignorance, that perceive some kinds of suffering/restlessness/disturbance/dissatisfaction/disappointment/hurt, they need to hold onto something that they can comprehend to start with while embarking onto the path of self-inquiry and self-realization, such as, the quest of finding out who I really/originally/initially am, or the quest of attaining liberation from all kinds of suffering, or the quest of exiting 'the infinite loop of ceaseless births and deaths' a.k.a. 'the countless and endless reincarnation of a permanent independent infinite immortal individual self existence/consciousness/soul/spirit residing in many different names and forms under separate existences transitioning between different realms/spheres/realities/worlds' (that doesn't exist at all), or the quest of entering/reentering/regaining the superior state of immortality, or the practice of positive thinking to counter negative thinking, or to destroy the lower impure self to regain the higher pure self.

There is neither right nor wrong, even though all that is not the objective of the practice at all. But they may lead the mind towards the direction of attaining direct self realization towards the truth of everything, if there is intense yearning under immovable determination, and perseverance (ceaseless effort) towards attaining the ultimate liberation from ignorance and the consequences of ignorance, under the presence of basic correct understanding and attitude, which can be developed and empowered.

All and everything ceaselessly manifesting, arising, changing, and passing away (appear and disappear), except the all pervading timeless (changeless) attributeless (nameless and formless) selfless universal consciousness, that is always there as it is, that is causeless/birthless and deathless/beginningless and endless, that is beyond time (devoid of impermanent changes), space (devoid of limitation), and causation (devoid of cause and effect), that never increase or decrease, that doesn't appear or disappear, that isn't pure or impure, where all and everything of all kinds of selfless impermanent limited and conditional names and forms manifesting upon, arising, changing, and passing away.

The yoga and/or buddhism observation or practice that is in accordance to the uncontaminated genuine teachings or dhamma, and that is being observed or practiced as it is, can allow the selfless mind to realize the truth of selflessness and non-self, where all and everything including the existence and function of itself, is selfless, where there isn't any solid permanent independent infinite immortal individual self existence/identity existing to be undergoing the selfless formation (birth, or the beginning of existence and functioning), impermanent changes of growth, ceased growing, decay, and disintegration, or decomposing, or passing away (death, or ceased functioning and the end of existence), and all these selfless manifestations are non-self, where the selfless manifestation of formation/existence/functions/changes/decay/disintegration/decomposition/ceased existence in all kinds of names and forms, don't even belong to the names and forms themselves.

Due to the different minds are being conditioned by the different ideas, beliefs, values, practices, ways of thinking, ways of doing things, ways of conduct/behavior/action/reaction, that give rise to different reasoning and understanding, that is influencing the different desires and don't desires in the different minds, it is common and natural that there are many disagreements, arguments, debates, dissatisfaction, and frustration existing among the different minds that are trying to convince/over-power/conquer one another about what and who is right or wrong, or who and what is more true/accurate/good/appropriate/meaningful than the other. But that not only doesn't lead the mind towards silence that gives rise to correct understanding, or wisdom, or absolute knowledge, but it is augmenting, stimulating, and agitating the restless egoistic impure modification of the mind even more, fueling and empowering the veil of ignorance.

That is why there is the highly practical and essential initial basic observation of forgoing/abandoning/refraining from all kinds of habitual egoistic activities of small talk, big talk, vain talk, boasting, glorifying, story telling, justification, gossiping, slandering, blaming, finger pointing, condemning, criticizing, argument, debate, discussion, interaction, or communication.

Inquire the truth of everything, including all that is here, and all and everything that the mind has been coming in contact with since birth, of all kinds of information/inputs/ideas/beliefs/values/practices/inspirations/aspirations coming from everyone and everywhere.
