If the mind has this precious conscious awareness of being aware towards its surrounding environment, or the condition and situation in the present moment now is extremely hurtful and destructive to the well-being of oneself and all and everything, then without any hesitation, this mind must leave and get out from such hurtful destructive environment, condition, and situation, if possible, when it is still possible.
Just as a house that is on fire. If the fire is too violent to be put out, where the fire is becoming extremely violent, and it is threatening the life and over-all well-being of all and everyone in the house, one must try to get out from the burning house as soon as possible, if possible.
There might be some minds refuse to leave their house (their beloved home) that is on fire, out of their own reason. That is their own freedom. There is neither right nor wrong.
But the presence of conscious awareness in the mind where it is being aware of the hurtful destructive environment, condition, and situation, and it has the understanding of, 'Need to leave and get out from here, immediately', indicates that this mind is one of the extremely precious minds in this world, where there are many minds are lost and drowning in ignorance and suffering, and unwittingly being the slave of ignorance and the by-products of ignorance.
It indicates that this mind has the precious ability and possibility for engaging in conscious evolution, that can lead to liberation from ignorance in itself, as well as its liberation can help all the others that are lost and drowning in ignorance and suffering to find their way out, to also attain liberation from ignorance and the consequences of ignorance.
If this mind is aware of itself, its over-all well-being, its sanity, or its life existence, is under the threat of great danger, then there is no time and space for any kind of hesitation, but to do one's best to get out from that dangerous environment, condition, and situation, immediately and calmly, as soon as possible, when it is still possible, to be safe.
It is not selfish.
It is not unpatriotic, not to say, patriotism is deriving from ignorance and egoism, and it shouldn't exist at all.
It is not abandoning your home, your duty of protecting your home, and all and everyone that you love dearly, not to say, 'my home' or 'our home', and 'my duty of protecting my home' is deriving from ignorance and egoism, while in truth, anywhere and everywhere is the momentary home of all and everyone and everything in this space that doesn't belong to anyone or anything, and the highest duty of anyone, is to be looking after the well-being of oneself, to appreciate this precious momentary life existence, to attain liberation from ignorance, then only one can look after all the others and the momentary home of all and everyone that doesn't belong to anyone or anything, efficiently.
One's own safety and sanity, and one's ability and possibility to evolve consciously, is highly precious and upmost important, so that one can help oneself to be liberated from ignorance, as well as one can also help all the others in this momentary home that one loves dearly, to also be liberated from ignorance and the consequences of ignorance.
The hurtful destructive environment, condition, and situation in any corner in this world that are being generated by the disturbed dissatisfied egoistic impure restless prideful minds that are functioning under the influence of ignorance, the idea of 'I', egoism, impurities, and restlessness, is what it is, and it is impermanent, limited, conditional, and non-self.
None can undo what had happened or control what is happening.
Most importantly, need not be determined by all those ignorance inflicted disturbing hurtful experiences, affairs, conditions, and situations, losing one's own precious sanity, and unwittingly becoming and behaving the same like the other minds that are ignorant and hurtful and destructive.
One can do one's best to stay away from such ignorant hurtful destructive environment, condition, and situation, as much as possible.
If for some reasons, that it is not possible to get out from such ignorant hurtful destructive environment, condition, and situation, in this present moment now, then, one accepts the reality as it is, while do one's best to stay safe and stay sane, under the precious awareness and calmness.
Just as if it is not possible to get out from the burning house, one can still do one's best to minimize the risk of getting severe injury and damage in oneself as much as possible, under the precious awareness and calmness, while allowing the outcome to be what it is.
Maybe there are some others refuse to leave the house, and want to try to put out the fire, that is their freedom of choice.
Meanwhile, there might be some others who are not trying to help to put out the fire, but instead, they are fueling the fire to make it more violent to cause further damages and destructions as much as possible, out of their own reason.
There are some people intentionally set fire unto other people's houses, "Hey look! I am burning your house," in order to provoke others to also set fire unto their house, to cause intentional damages and destructions as much as possible unto the houses of all and everyone, out of their own reason, and then they claimed, "Hey there! I am burning your house down in order to free you all from being the slave of your house. I have liberated you from your house. Now, you all can be free to go somewhere else to build new house and live there, and don't ever come back here. And since my house is also damaged and destroyed, I will have no choice but to build my beautiful new house here over your damaged house for my self, my family, and my friends. You all should be grateful and thank me." While there are also some others, "Hey there! I can sell you more fuel to keep the fire going and cause more damages and destructions until there is nothing left to burn, so that you can build your beautiful new house there, and as many houses as you like." Complete madness. Complete ignorance.
The safety, the sanity, the selfless existence, the selfless conscious awareness, and the selfless conscious evolution of this mind, is extremely precious, but yet, it's okay if all these are passing away.
Inquire the truth of everything.
