Be free from selfishness, possessiveness, pride, discrimination, petty-mindedness

Selfishness, possessiveness, pride, discrimination, and petty-mindedness, or greed, is not distinctive from self-destruction. It hurts others, and it will hurt oneself.

When a mind, not to say, the minds of a group of community, is being over-powered by selfishness, possessiveness (of claiming ownership and authority towards certain space and nature that don't belong to anyone), pride (towards their particular identity and possession), discrimination (towards the others that the mind(s) perceived as 'foreigners' or 'not one of us'), and petty-mindedness (of unwilling to be sharing the space and nature that don't belong to anyone with all and everyone, or unwilling to look after the general physical and mental welfare of the others, but depriving and destroying the general physical and mental welfare of the others), and under the influence of all these names and forms, the mind(s) generate desires, thoughts, actions and expressions that project the aspiration of either unwelcoming, pushing away, chasing out, and hating towards 'the others', or charging/taxing all others for their existence and all kinds of basic needs for survival in this space that doesn't belong to anyone, it all will come back unto oneself (themselves).

How people (the minds) desire to 'build' their 'living space' that doesn't belong to them or anyone (either full of peace, openness, kindness and harmony that give rise to prosperity for everyone, or full of unrest, selfishness, unkindness and disharmony that give rise to desperation and suffering for everyone), that's the 'living space' that they will be living in.

All kinds of basic survival needs that are available for all kinds of names and forms to be existing and surviving here in this space that doesn't belong to anyone, are coming from the selfless universe or the selfless nature, absolutely available for all and everyone to be existing and surviving here in this space that doesn't belong to anyone, unconditionally and limitlessly, provided that each and everyone needs to be exerting certain effort or energy to be maintaining and looking after their own existence and survival. All and everyone still needs to find food and water, and eat the food and drink the water, which requires certain effort or energy, where the energy is also coming from the selfless support of the selfless universe or nature, unconditionally and limitlessly, until the end of the existence of any particular name and form.

However, the many ignorant selfish possessive discriminating greedy minds thought that they could just claim ownership and authority towards the space and all kinds of basic survival needs that don't belong to anyone as much as they can, keeping for their own existence and survival, while at the same time, either forbidding others from existing and surviving in this space that doesn't belong to anyone, or restricting others' existence and survival by charging/taxing others for being existing and surviving in this space that doesn't belong to anyone.

It's like the air or oxygen. It doesn't belong to anyone. Similarly, the sun, the earth, the space, the land, the water, the nature or natural resources that exist selflessly and unconditionally for the existence and life maintenance or survival of all kinds of names and forms, don't belong to anyone.

Inquire the truth of everything.

Inquire towards boundaries, nationalities, authorization, documentation, qualification and certification

Most of the people in the world are friendly and welcoming towards people from other countries and different cultures, especially in terms of promoting the tourism industry where foreign tourists come into their country only to spend money as well as promoting their country 'positively'. 

 

Though unfriendliness and non-welcoming attitude also exist in many countries coming from certain close-minded people towards foreigners of certain nationalities and financial status out of the sense of superiority/inferiority, discrimination and intimidation, while at the same time, they would be friendly and welcoming towards some other foreigners of certain nationalities and financial status that they think are more superior than the others, especially those who are not trying to work in their country for making a living, but are bringing in foreign currency into their country, spending lots of money in their country as tourists or retirees.

 

Many people also would feel being intimidated by other people especially foreigners who are more intelligent, more skillful and more hardworking than them. Anyway, different kinds of discrimination exist in everywhere in this world of ignorance and egoism.

 

In another term, if foreigners are coming into their country to make bigger cake or more cakes for the locals, but without sharing the cake(s), they are most welcome by the locals. If foreigners are coming into their country to share the cake(s), even though they are there to help make bigger cake or more cakes for everyone, they are not welcome. This is the ignorant mentality of most human beings out of survival instinct and selfishness. They don't have the wisdom to understand that foreigners are there to help make bigger cake or more cakes for everyone, and they should be sharing the cake(s) with everyone else. But they think, "This is our cake. You are here to share (steal) our cake(s), and we would have smaller cake or less cakes for ourselves," while at the same time, ironically they also want to think and believe that they are generous people who like to share with others.

 

There's another group of foreigners involving in social media are most welcome in any country, provided if they can 'keep one eye opens, one eye closed', where they ignore anything or don't criticize any subject that is being perceived as 'offensiveness and hostility towards certain people/organization, especially of a particular race/culture/religion/social class/authorization, even if it's something true, but only to do and say things that would glorify and promote the country in the way that would please those of a particular race/culture/religion/social class/authorization. These people on social media would think and believe that they are doing something 'positive' or 'great' to promote only the 'positive' things of certain countries while ignoring/burying the 'negative' things, but they are actually glorifying and empowering 'discrimination' and 'corruption' in the world, either wittingly or unwittingly, by misleading people's understanding about what is actually happening in any country that is openly restricting freedom of expression/action/speech.

 

Can't blame these people who make a living on social media as they need to 'protect' themselves and their livelihood by creating contents via social media to make a living. Even the locals are being brought up in the way to 'keep one eye opens, one eye closed' in order to 'not getting into troubles' and to make a living in 'peace' under oppression and discrimination. People rather give in to oppression and discrimination than to regain their stolen freedom of existence, freedom of expression/thinking/action/speech and freedom of living, being manipulated to think and behave in certain way. 

 

The one great advice from the past Gurus for the truth seekers, is that in order to counter all these ignorance, is through the practice of dispassion and renunciation from worldly affair.

Despite the imperfection of some political conflicts/corruptions, petite crimes, prejudice, intimidation and discrimination deriving from certain amount of close-minded prideful people, which is very common in everywhere in the world, many people would like to live in peace and harmony with all the different races/cultures/beliefs, and to respect each other’s different ethnicity, culture and belief. Most people are wishing for positive over-all improvement and prosperity for their country to become an environmentally and humanely beautiful and peaceful place for everyone (citizen or non-citizen) to live in and visit. Unfortunately, all these are just some hopeful imaginations and almost impossible to be materialized, if the country doesn't have a non-discriminative and non-oppressive good government run by wise and compassionate open-minded human beings to lead and facilitate everything wisely and compassionately.

 

Those who are wise and compassionate are not interested in 'controlling' and 'regulating' all and everyone to be or not to be in certain way, but would facilitate all kinds of necessary support and convenience that allow all and everyone to learn how to be independent financially, physically, mentally and emotionally, and become self-initiative and responsible peaceful human beings to be looking after themselves and others in the surrounding environment, as well as to be looking after the over-all well-being of the environment and the world, or not. Allowing all and everyone being what they are, as they are, governed by the law of nature, or the law of cause and effect. There's no need an authorization/authority to be there to 'control', 'restrict', 'regulate', 'oppress', 'prosecute', 'judge', 'criminalize', 'penalize' and 'punish' anyone for anything.

 

Mentally healthy human beings wouldn't behave in the way that hurt themselves, or others, or the environment deliberately, even if there's no authority being there to 'control' or 'regulate' anyone and anything. Those who would behave in the way that hurt themselves, or others, or the environment, either intentionally or unintentionally, are due to ignorance and mental illness. Having an authoritarian authority to 'control' and 'regulate' the world doesn't stop those who are ignorant and mentally ill for being what they are and behave as they are. Under the 'control' and 'oppression' of an authority that is run by human beings that are not wise and not compassionate would only generate and empower deeper ignorance and more mental illness sufferers in the world.

The separateness and discrimination of 'foreigners' and 'locals' or 'citizens' and 'non-citizens' shouldn't be existing in this world at all, where all beings (human or non-human beings) are equally same momentarily existing and occupying this world and all are subject to the law of impermanence and selflessness. But survival instinct and possessiveness/protectiveness/control born out of ignorance and egoism in human beings created all the different boundaries separating and discriminating, controlling and restricting, legalizing and criminalizing all and everyone under certain law and order created by 'the authority' of human beings. There's no real freedom or peace to be found in this world run by human beings under the influence of ignorance and egoism.

 

Real independence of a country is not just about free from being governed by the foreign power of another country and having their own democratic elected government, but it's about the people, especially those who run the government, or the leaders/facilitators/law makers, are free from the influence of ignorance and egoism, where the country is free from being governed by a 'corrupted' government that is run by a group of corrupted human beings under the influence of ignorance, egoism, greed, pride and selfishness.

The political history in the world particularly during a pandemic outbreak, reveals all kinds of ignorance and selfishness in many ways.

It's the same as in the world of Yoga and Buddhism. Those who appoint and identify themselves or some others as the authority/authorization of Yoga or Buddhism to be claiming 'ownership' or 'authorization' over Yoga or Buddhism, to be 'controlling' and 'regulating' the activities of Yoga and Buddhism in the world, to authorize or sanction this and that, under the name of 'protecting the purity or authenticity of Yoga or Buddhism', or 'maintaining a higher quality in Yoga or Buddhism practice or dissemination', then obviously they have no idea what is Yoga or Buddhism. Even an enlightened being wouldn't appoint and identify oneself or anyone as "The authority of Yoga or Buddhism."

Authority of any kind doesn't exist in the truth of the universe governed by the law of nature, of cause and effect, where all and everything are subject to the truth of Impermanence and Selflessness. Not even the selfless almighty 'God existence' that many human beings believe in, is self-appointed or self-authorized as the highest authority of the universe to be busy authorizing or non-authorizing this or that, to be governing, discriminating, monitoring, regulating or controlling this or that for being existing, changing, decaying and ceased existing under the law of nature.

Unfortunately, many human beings are being brought up in the way to live a life that is based on the sense of belonging and pride towards a national identity, personal identity, gender identity, sexual orientation identity, ethnic identity, cultural identity, educational identity, religious identity, spiritual identity, social class identity, body image identity, financial status identity, community identity, political identity, 'authorized/approved/recognized' identity, 'respect deserving' identity, and so on, that doesn't eliminate but empowers ignorance and egoism.

Those who want to think positive and be optimistic towards developing and hoping for a 'better' world, will only end up in great disappointment. Free from positive or negative, optimism or pessimism, one can do one's best for what one thinks and believes as beneficial for oneself while living in this world and/or for the over-all welfare of the world, but without attachment or expectation towards the actions and the fruit of actions, and allowing the world being what it is, full of ignorance and egoism and the consequences of that. 

Performing beneficial actions for oneself and/or the world, but without any intention of controlling, changing or expecting anything and anyone to be or not to be in certain way, is the essence of Yoga or Buddhism.

There are some human beings are truly selfless and compassionate serving the community of diversity and helping the less fortunate human beings or non-human beings, non-discriminatively. They might not be involving in any form of yoga practice, but they are the 'yogis', who perform selfless service to benefit the world without being determined or disturbed by the ignorance and selfishness in the world. There are people who are also doing something to help others, but with particular intention to convert others to take up or believe in their particular religious belief and practice, or to be getting other people's support towards a particular political party or social group, that is nothing to do with 'selfless service'.

Inquire towards the truth of everything.

Surrendering to the law of nature

When there are many difficulties or obstacles arise in life that seem to be unsolvable in the present moment, we can choose to surrender to the law of nature, allowing the law of nature to lead us to wherever we are and whatever we will be, rather than being frustrated and injured by fighting against the difficulties that won't make all the difficulties disappear from life.

Surrendering the desire to fight is not the same as giving up the will to move on.

Surrendering the ego by letting go egoistic desire, attachment and expectation.

Surrendering is respecting the law of nature after doing one's best to live a life that one would like it to be, allowing the fruit of actions being what it is.

Surrendering the desire to fight against difficulties (deriving from ignorance in the world), but without giving up the will to move on, while manoeuvring around the difficulties.

It's like a leaf floating on the river, and allowing the current to manoeuvre the leaf around all kinds of obstacles, and heads towards any branches of the river led by the current, without breaking apart while trying to fight against the current insisting on heading towards one particular branch of the river.

There's nothing wrong with giving up, losing the will or ability to move on. It's like the leaf reluctantly got stuck with one of the obstacles and stop flowing.

Either the leaf keeps flowing or stops flowing, it's all impermanent.

Inquire towards the relationship between respect and discrimination

In the worldly egoistic human's cultural and social belief, values and practice under the influence of ignorance, respect is a form of discrimination towards who deserve or don't deserve respect and who deserve more or less respect from some others, based on the inheritance, lineage, family background, age, gender, sexual orientation, colour, shape, appearance, title, ranking, social status, financial status, position, level of education and certification/qualification, type of work, religion, ethnicity, nationality, behavior, achievement, contribution, and so on.

In nature, all and everyone exist as they are, without superiority or inferiority, without respect deserving or non-respect deserving.

All are existing and governing by the law of nature, of cause and effect.

All are selfless and impermanent.

All are subject to decay and the fundamental suffering of restless hunger and thirst, and selfless impermanent changes.

Regardless of educated or non-educated, majority of the human beings are being conditioned by the worldly cultural and social belief, values and practice influenced by ignorance that emphasized on giving and receiving discriminative respect towards all and everyone based on the different qualities of names and forms to judge all and everything as (more or less) respect deserving, or not, where there is discrimination of superiority and inferiority, and most people are looking forward to somehow be eligible to fit into the category of superiority, either being motivated by themselves, or their parents, or their friends, or their community, or their teachers, or their leaders, or their government body/authority.

Some countries even put it into their law of constitution where people would be prosecuted by law for 'disrespecting' something or someone that the people think and believe as 'higher or highest' respect deserving. People are living under fear towards 'the superiority', or 'the authority', or 'the leader', or 'someone on the top' that is being 'acknowledged' with the 'status of superiority' or 'status of power' by themselves and/or the people, where in certain countries, people who are 'involving' in running the government body, who hold certain 'position' or 'title', would think and believe that they somehow deserve higher respect than anyone else by social cultural belief and practice, and 'by law'.

While within the community, people would think and believe that those who are higher educated deserve higher respect than anyone else, and people who have higher title/class/social status/financial status deserve higher respect than anyone else. Most parents would teach and motivate their children to do their very best to attain the eligibility to fit into the superior status, to gain respect or higher respect from some others who are inferior or less superior than them.

Those who want to practice and realize yoga, must free their minds from such thinking, belief, values and practice. Under the influence of ignorance, quite many yoga practitioners or enthusiasts are still very much being conditioned by such worldly egoistic thinking, belief, values and practice, even if they have been doing some kind of yoga practice regularly for many years, where they still think and believe that 'someone' or 'something' deserves upmost respect or higher respect than the others, and would be disturbed, offended or insulted if someone 'failed' to show 'deserving (higher or upmost) respect' towards that 'someone' or 'something'.

Under the law of nature, there's neither 'respect' nor 'non-respect', there's neither 'respect deserving' nor 'non-respect deserving'. If we want to show respect, we respect all and everyone the same regardless of the different qualities of names and forms, free from being conditioned by the worldly thinking and belief towards what is 'good or bad', 'right or wrong', 'deserving or don't deserving', respecting all and everyone possessing different qualities of names and forms as they are, and all are impermanent.

The thinking and belief of 'who and what' deserve or don't deserve respect and 'who and what' deserve more or less respect from some others, is like the invalid non-existing judgment of 'who and what' deserve or don't deserve to be subject to selfless impermanent changes, decay and disintegration under the law of nature.

The ignorance in the world would eventually leading the world of civilization towards the ridiculousness of "Who is allowed or disallowed to breathe, to think, to believe, to feel, to laugh, to cry, to speak, to see, to sneeze, to fart, to shit, to love, to be kind, and so on, under the law of constitutions of certain countries" run by human beings under the influence of ignorance and egoism.

Inquire the truth of everything.

All these is suffering

'All these is suffering' is the truth of the selfless impermanent existence of the body and perceptive thinking mind governed by the law of nature, of cause and effect/actions and the consequences of actions, especially in a world occupied and operated by human beings under the influence of ignorance and egoism.

Minds that are enjoying many good things in life, would disagree with the truth of 'All these is suffering', and these minds want to believe that life in the world of human beings is wonderful and meaningful by focusing on the good things. There's nothing wrong with that. Just that even the good things are impermanent. There's no suffering if the minds know and respect the truth of impermanence, being free from attachment towards the good things and without aversion towards the not so good things.

Even when the mind is free from suffering by knowing and respecting the truth of impermanence, being free from attachment, identification or expectation, but the existence of the selfless physical body couldn't escape the inevitable suffering of restless maintenance for survival, hunger and thirst, and all kinds of discomfort, pain, illness, decaying, aging, weakening and limitation.

There is no real freedom or satisfaction that can be found in this world of human beings that is not just being governed by the law of impermanence and selflessness, but it's also being governed by 'laws' created by human beings out of ignorance and egoism with all kinds of rules and regulations trying to 'control' everything to be in certain way, or 'keeping things in certain order', or even under the name of 'civilization' and 'development' for improving the over-all welfare of human beings, the existence of human beings need to be 'documented', 'legalized', 'decriminalized', 'authorized', 'recognized', 'certified', 'qualified', 'approved', 'allowed', 'granted with such and such rights', and etc, which inevitably generating all kinds of 'illegality', 'criminalization', 'unauthorized', 'undocumented', 'non-recognition', 'non-certified', 'unqualified', 'disqualified', 'disapproval', 'disallowance', 'non-gratification of such and such rights' and etc, that empower all kinds of unnecessary corruption, prejudice, discrimination, oppression, violence and 'tormentation'.

The 'authority' isn't just generating 'profit' from receiving fees by issuing all kinds of 'legally approved documentation' to the people who 'need' to be 'legally documented to be residing and making a living in a particular area on earth that doesn't belong to anyone' as well as from penalizing those who didn't or couldn't attain 'legally approved documentation' for some reasons, or those who were being issued with 'legally approved documentation' but there is penalty being issued as well due to the many different kinds of ridiculous rules and regulations.

From the moment of birth, all human beings are 'not free'. In fact many wild lives in nature are more free than human beings, just being governed by the law of nature.

All human beings are being 'regulated', 'restricted' and 'controlled' by 'the authority' that claimed 'authorization' over the many different areas on earth. 'The basic freedom of existence' doesn't exist for being existing on earth, not to say, 'trying to live a life of a selfless impermanent body and perceptive thinking mind' to be 'living', 'moving around', 'acting', 'expressing', 'making a living or trying to survive to maintain life' on this space of the universe that doesn't belong to anyone or any so called 'authorization and authority' that exists under the name of 'an organization to carry out duty and responsibility for serving the community and maintaining welfare development and keeping order in the world'. Even in one's birth country, everyone also needs to attain legal 'documentation', 'permission' or 'approval' for everything by appealing to 'the authority' and paying some monthly or yearly renewable fees/taxes until one dies.

Human beings think and believe that at least they are free in their own birth country as a rightful citizen of that country, where they can live and do anything freely, but it's not. Whether residing and doing something in one's own country, or in some other countries, everyone must 'possess' or 'obtain' legal documentation/permission/approval from the authority by paying some sorts of charges, just by being where one is. Or else, naturally one is being illegal and will be criminalized/penalized and facing the risk of losing 'the rights/permission of being at a place on earth' that was being 'granted by the authority' before.

"As a citizen of this country, you can live and do anything here as long as it's legally permitted and approved under the law of this country created and authorized by 'the authority'. And of course you need to pay some fees in order to obtain the permission and approval from 'the authority' for legalizing anything you want to do. But, be very careful. Your citizenship could be revoked and stripped-off from you, at any time, if you offend the authority."

Upon seeing the truth of impermanence and selflessness, minds attain liberation from suffering through non-attachment/non-association/renunciation towards 'all these' (the mind stuff, or the modification of the mind, or the mind perception of a worldly life existence) upon the realization of 'All these is suffering' and being unattached towards the inevitable suffering of the selfless existence and function of the decaying physical body.

The past enlightened Buddhas and yogis didn't claim that "Oh! Life existence in the world of human beings is wonderful and meaningful" upon enlightenment. This realization of 'All these is suffering' is not negative at all, but it appears to be something negative for the minds that want to believe that they have the power to create 'the desired reality that they preferred' even if it's just temporary and needed to be maintained restlessly, by ceaselessly keep creating what they think is wonderful and meaningful in life.

Whether with or without a government body to be 'the authority' that was being given the so called 'lawful' power to run any country, there will always be some human created/related problems deriving from ignorance and egoism. By having or not having 'the authority' of a government body to run a country, couldn't guarantee that there will be less or no problems. The existence of human created/related 'problems' is due to the human beings' perceptive/cognitive/assertive intellectual egoistic thinking minds are functioning under the influence of ignorance and egoism, as well as due to the basic survival instinct that exists in all living objects.

Whether human minds are free or not free from the influence of ignorance and egoism, is nothing to do with the presence and absence of education, accumulated knowledge, intelligence, talent, skill, belief, values, status, title, documentation, legalization, authorization, recognition, certification, qualification, approval, possession of such and such rights, accomplishment, privilege, and etc.

Whether the minds are being kind and compassionate, or not, and being peaceful or in painful suffering, is nothing to do with the presence and absence of 'courses and certifications of kindness and compassion' or 'courses and certifications of peace or suffering', that allowed or disallowed the mind to be kind and compassionate, being peaceful or in painful suffering, or not.

Buddha didn't attend a 'legally authorized enlightenment course' and didn't carry a 'certification of enlightenment', or obtained 'permission from the authority to be legalized/authorized to practice and teach Dhamma', or issued different types of 'certifications/qualifications of enlightenment' to respective practitioners that had gone through self-discipline and self-inquiry towards the truth and attained different levels of realization.

Practicing yoga, realizing yoga and teaching yoga, or being dispassionate, unattached, fearless, peaceful and silent, or being patient, accommodating, forgiving, kind and compassionate, are nothing to do with all kinds of worldly authorization and legalization of 'One must gone through certain type and amount of learning and training via authorized/approved courses and obtained such and such recognized certification/qualification in order to be legalized/recognized/approved/allowed for existing, living, moving around, and making a living to survive or doing something in this world'.

A talented artist might or might not become better and better in its creativity through certain type and amount of training, but it's nothing to do with 'certification of creative arts'.

A writer who loves to write, a dancer who loves to dance, a singer who loves to sing, might or might not becoming a better writer, dancer, or singer through certain type and amount of training, but it's nothing to with 'qualification and certification of writing, dancing and singing'.

"Without training and certification of writing, or dancing, or singing issued/sanctioned by recognized/authorized organization, one wouldn't be eligible to obtain 'permission'/'approval' from 'the authority' or cannot be legalized/approved/allowed and will be criminalized/penalized/imprisoned for getting involve in activity of writing, dancing, or singing," and "Without training and certification of authorized yoga courses, one wouldn't be eligible to obtain 'permission'/'approval' from 'the authority' or cannot be legalized/approved/allowed and will be criminalized/penalized/imprisoned for practicing, realizing and teaching yoga," is like "Without training and certification of friendship or loving kindness, one cannot be legalized/approved/allowed and will be criminalized/penalized/imprisoned for being a friend or to love and be kind to oneself and others." Such is the world being occupied and operated by human beings under the influence of ignorance and egoism.

There are minds that think and believe that they can 'buy' all the freedom of existing, being, living, making a living, moving around/travelling/migrating and doing anything that they like in anywhere of the world, for as long as they have the money to keep paying 'the authority' for getting all the required legal documentation/permission/approval done and without any intentional/unintentional offense towards the respective 'authority' in different places, would disagree with 'All these is suffering' while they are enjoying 'the privilege' that they still have and even until the end of their life existence. And that's their freedom.

Human beings would want to think and believe that 'laws' and 'authorities' are made to protect human beings and the world from 'bad' and 'wrongful' things, to make the world a better place for everyone, but unfortunately in some countries, 'laws' and 'authorities' are made to profit and protect the authority and give rise to many unnecessary difficulties to the people for just trying to live a life on earth that doesn't belong to anyone. There's no freedom of existence or living, not to say, freedom of expression, action and speech. Or, one can express, do and say anything, as long as it's agreeable and complimentary to 'the authority'.

'Laws' and 'authorities' in most countries legally discriminate all human beings by scanning/analyzing 'the eligibility' of the people for accepting/processing/approving/granting certain 'authorized documentation', which mainly is about 'nationality', 'financial status', 'social status', 'title', 'educational level', 'certification and qualification', 'talent and skill', 'achievement', 'health condition', 'submissive mentality towards the authority', and etc, where all these have nothing to do with whether someone is free from ignorance and suffering, or not, and being kind and compassionate, or not. Even highly educated knowledgeable intelligent people who want to protest against certain kinds of 'discrimination' and 'prejudice' might not be free from ignorance and egoism, where they don't see 'many of the discrimination' that were being generated by 'laws' and 'authorities' that they support very much, where these 'documentation qualified' people think and believe that the world or a country needs to be governed by 'an authority' to keep things in order by 'legalizing and criminalizing' everything, to keep those 'documentation unqualified' people away from the world or their country.

In most countries, wisdom and compassion deriving from inquiring into the truth of everything that bring peace and harmony into the society is not important and could be seen as a potential risk of jeopardizing the 'profit' and 'power' of the authority, but, how much 'profit' and 'power' the authority can get from the people's financial contribution, as well as maintaining certain degrees of separateness, unrest and disharmony among the society that can keep the authority in power, is the upmost priority.

In Dhamma, all are one same nature of selflessness and impermanence. There's no discrimination towards those who are and are not free from ignorance and egoism, or who are and are not kind and compassionate, not to say, all kinds of different names and forms, of 'nationality', 'financial status', 'social status', 'title', 'educational level', 'certification and qualification', 'talent and skill', 'achievement', 'health condition', 'submissive mentality towards the authority' and etc, to determine or judge anyone is deserving or non-deserving the teaching and practice of Dhamma, and be eligible or non-eligible for attaining liberation from ignorance and suffering.

Many human beings are being conditioned to put upmost importance onto 'the eligibility' of 'nationality', 'financial status', 'social status', 'title', 'educational level', 'certification and qualification', 'talent and skill', 'achievement', 'health condition', 'submissive mentality towards the authority', or even 'religion', 'ethnicity' and 'body and facial appearance' to determine or judge themselves and others as deserving or non-deserving to be existing and living on earth, might not agree with this. That's their freedom.

The worldly minded people put upmost importance onto "Are you qualified (enough)?" while in truth, there's a certain 'qualification' existing in all and everyone regardless of whether one is qualified (enough) for anything in this world of ignorance and egoism, which is, "All are qualified for the suffering of restlessness, of the selfless impermanent changes of decaying, weakening, aging, sickness and death. All are born to be qualified to die, regardless of who you think you are and whether you are highly qualified for something in this world, or not."

Inquire towards the truth of everything.

Respecting the law of nature and accepting the consequences of actions as it is

It's everyone's freedom for what they think and believe, desire and don't desire.

The yoga practitioners go beyond all the thinking and beliefs, free from desire and don't desire.

The law of nature and the consequences of actions are not necessarily the way that one would like it to be, or the way that one thinks and believes how it should be. But if one knows how to respect the law of nature as it is and accepting the consequences of actions being what they are, without attachment or identification, without craving or aversion, without judgment or expectation, then this mind will be fearless, or fear doesn't arise or present in this mind.

Unattached towards the condition of the world. Unattached towards the worldly life existence of all kinds of relationship and experience. Unattached towards all actions and the consequences of actions.

The impure egoistic minds that are being conditioned by worldly thinking and belief to analyze and judge about everything, to desire and don't desire certain quality of names and forms to be here or shouldn't be here, would have difficulty understanding and practicing the essential teachings and practice of yoga about the annihilation of egoism and silencing the modification of the mind, about the observation of dispassion, renunciation, silence, solitude and seclusion, about selflessness, oneness, non-separateness, namelessness, formlessness and attributelessness, about "The world is unreal", about transcending the mind perception of a restless worldly life existence of impermanence and selflessness. The impure egoistic minds would analyze and think, "This is absurd, wrong and madness."

So what, if someone can hold the breath for a very long time, or be able to do many acrobatic actions with the strong and flexible physical body, or accumulating and memorizing all kinds of information or knowledge about many things in this world through listening, watching, reading, researching, experiencing and studying about everything, or being intelligent and creative inventing many new things and higher technologies, or enjoying a higher quality of healthy and comfortable living, or has been travelling all over the world experiencing many different things and activities, or can perform to entertain many people, or is the greatest champion of certain competition, but the mind doesn't know Thyself, where the mind is restless/peaceless being attached onto and identifying with the quality of names and forms of the function of the body and mind as 'I', attaching onto its actions and the fruit/result of its actions, swaying between satisfaction and dissatisfaction/disappointment being determined by the gratification and non-gratification of the desire of craving and aversion, being the slave of the modification of the mind, of egoism and impurities, of selfless impermanent state of the mind and physical condition, of passionate feelings and emotions arising and passing away, being disturbed and determined by the mind perception of names and forms through the senses, of pleasant/unpleasant, desirable/undesirable and agreeable/disagreeable life experiences or encountering, being bound by the expectation towards life and the world to be and not to be in certain way based on certain thinking and belief, craving for and clinging onto love, relationship, friendship, connection, interaction and the sense of meaningfulness, being drowned in aversion and tension of dissatisfaction, fear and worry towards life and the world being the way that the mind doesn't desire it to be, or the way that the mind thinks and believes it shouldn't be, constantly judging oneself and others being good enough or not good enough, to be achieving the life and a world that the mind desires it to be.

Everyone talks about promoting a world of democracy, an idea or a game that everyone learns to play and be engaged with since growing up especially in schools, while at the same time they want to be free from discrimination and oppression. But, discrimination and oppression is indeed the by-product of the idea or game of democracy. The representer of a particular idea/vision/politic/personality that gets the highest votes from the majority support will win and be in power, while all the other minorities who prefer different kind of idea/vision/politic will have to be legally 'bound' and 'oppressed' by the one in power and have to be 'following' and 'respecting' the 'legally binding rules and regulations' under 'that power with particular idea/vision/politic', reluctantly. Discrimination and lack of freedom will always be existing under the game of democracy, whether one agrees or disagrees with it. Some might be having the freedom that they desire, while some others won't be having the freedom that they desire, and vice versa.

The advice from the many Gurus/teachers in the past, "Renounce the society. Stay away from politics."

There's neither right nor wrong. It's everyone's freedom for what they want to do with their life, body and mind.
