Guru?

The mind that identifies itself as a 'Guru' to some others is not really a Guru.

The mind that identifies an external 'Guru' as its greatest Guru still hasn't found the Guru yet.

The one and only greatest Guru is the selfless mind itself.

The external Guru is anyone and anything or any experiences that enables the mind to see the one and only Guru from within (of knowing Thyself), or to see the truth of selflessness and impermanence in all and everything, where all and everything are the teachers and the teachings or Dhamma, transcending all kinds of names and forms or duality.

Be free.

Inquire towards the selfless impermanent existence of everything

Regardless of whether it's a non-reproductive non-living object or thing, or a reproductive living organism with or without the function of the thinking and acting faculty, or a reproductive living organism with or without the function of mobility, all and everything are selfless and impermanent, where all have their very own particular impermanent changes in certain way, and particular limited selfless impermanent life span, or a limited duration of existence for 'existing and being what they are'.

'These many identical toys' are the same kind of toys, that are having the same material, design, quality, appearance, shape, size, texture, colour and name, being manufactured under the same batch at the same time by the same machine from the same factory, but, among 'these many identical toys', each toy is having its own selfless impermanent existence of under going different encountering of different owner(s) and different impermanent changes. One of them might be well looked after and would last many years, while many of them might be having shorter life span, and are slightly or deeply damaged, or are breaking apart and ceased existing at different timings under different causes. Upon the ceased existence of 'being what they are', the material of 'the toys' might be under going certain transformation being transformed into some other objects, or might be disintegrated into different elements and energy that will be transitioning or transforming into some other forms. But, it's not 'this toy' having a permanent independent individual existence continuously existing in some other forms upon the disintegration or ceased existence of 'this toy'.

Living organisms are not much different from any non-living objects or things in terms of the truth of selflessness and impermanence, except that there is the function of the perceptive thinking and acting faculty and/or mobility in some of the living organisms. Even so, all are selfless and impermanent without a permanent independent individual existence, or an infinite 'I', that exists to be under going countless impermanent changes, or under going transitions or transformations of transitioning into some other different forms ceaselessly, upon the disintegration or ceased existence of 'being what they are during their limited duration of a selfless impermanent existence'.

Even if there are identical twins, or triplets, or quadruplets, and so on, among the reproductive living organisms, and there are genetic influences, where the reproductions of all these reproductive living organisms might be having the particular similar genetic appearance, general physical and mental condition, survival instinct, personality and characteristic, but, each and every selfless impermanent living organism are distinct from one another, where all kinds of selfless impermanent names and forms are having their own particular selfless impermanent changes in certain way, of coming in contact with different encountering under different causes that give rise to different effects, or different actions/reactions that give rise to different consequences of actions/reactions, during their limited duration of a selfless impermanent existence. But there is not an infinite 'I' existing in any names and forms to be under going all those impermanent changes, or under going ceaseless transitions/transformations/reincarnations into different forms.

Such as 'this atom' is 'this atom', and 'that atom' is 'that atom', while 'this atom' is not 'that atom', and there is no 'I' in each atom among the countless atoms that exist in all and everything, including the selfless elements and selfless energy that support and influence all kinds of names and forms existing and being what they are. While each atom is changing at its own cause and pace, but one thing in common that never change among all kinds of selfless impermanent names and forms, is that, all are selfless and impermanent, ceaselessly changing, decaying, and eventually disintegrating, or ceased existing.

The oldest object and/or organism that is still existing in the universe, that outlive all and everything else, that has a beginning that will lead to an end, is still ceaselessly changing, decaying, and eventually disintegrating or ceased existing, selflessly.

There is not a continuous infinite existence of a permanent independent existence of an individual entity, or an infinite 'I' of a particular quality and identity, to be under going all those selfless impermanent changes, or to be transitioning or transforming (reincarnated) into countless forms of selfless impermanent existence, one after another ceaselessly, under 'one same permanent independent individual entity or existence' that doesn't exist.

'This particular body with this particular perceptive thinking and acting faculty of particular gene, characteristic, personality, way of thinking and understanding and behavior', or 'this particular orange', or 'this particular tree', are all selfless and impermanent, constantly changing, decaying, and eventually, disintegrating.

'This body and mind' is decaying, and will be ceased functioning and ceased existing, and the body might be consumed by some other organisms. The end of 'this particular body with this particular perceptive thinking and acting faculty of particular gene, characteristic, personality, way of thinking and understanding and behavior'.

'This orange' is being eaten by this body and mind, and be digested, or be broken down and transformed into nutrients, energy, and fibers. The end of 'this particular orange'.

'This tree' is uprooted by the strong wind during the heavy storm, and it might be utilized as burning wood for cooking and heating, or to be made into certain type of furniture. The end of 'this particular tree'.

There's not a continuous infinite existence of a permanent independent individual entity, or infinite existence of an identity, existing in all kinds of names and forms, not to say, to be under going transition or transformation to be continuously existing in some other form of existence upon the disintegration or ceased existence of any particular object or organism, however, the selfless elements and selfless energy that have been supporting and forming the selfless existence of all these selfless impermanent objects and organisms, are ceaselessly forming and influencing some other selfless impermanent names and forms, continuously supporting and influencing all kinds of names and forms arising, changing, and passing away, under the respective cause.

All these selfless impermanent changes, of forming, decaying and disintegration, under the support and influence of the selfless elements and energy, that are happening in all kinds of selfless impermanent names and forms (living organisms or non-living objects), are ceaselessly happening upon the infinite independent timeless and changeless, beginningless and endless, birthless and deathless, attributeless, nameless and formless selfless universal consciousness that pervades within and without all and everything, that doesn't belong to any particular name and form among the countless names and forms that ceaselessly arising, changing, and passing away upon it.

Although the selfless universal consciousness pervades all and everything that are selfless and impermanent, that are ceaselessly arising, changing and passing away upon the selfless universal consciousness under the selfless support and influence of the supportive and influential selfless elements and selfless energy, it is not the selfless universal consciousness that is under going countless ceaseless transition/transformation/reincarnation. The selfless universal consciousness is untouched by all these selfless impermanent ever changing phenomena. It is the selfless silent witness witnessing all kinds of names and forms arising and passing away. It's merely selfless elements and energy forming, changing, and disintegrating, as well as transitioning/transforming/reincarnating into some other forms, upon the selfless universal consciousness, selflessly and ceaselessly.

All and everything exist, change, and pass away in this 'space'. Without this 'space', all and everything don't exist. This endless 'space' is untouched by all and everything being what they are. Without the support from the selfless elements and energy, 'the body and mind', 'the orange', or 'the tree', cannot and/or doesn't exist. Even so, the selfless elements and the energy don't own 'the body and mind', 'the orange', or 'the tree', and vice versa. The 'space' doesn't own all and everything, and vice versa. The 'space' is limitless, timeless, and changeless, even though all and everything ceaselessly arising (a beginning), changing, and passing away (an end) upon it. Time is merely the reflection of ceaseless impermanent changes in the names and forms that are arising, changing, and passing away in this 'space'.

The body and mind is not 'I'. 'I' am not the body and mind. The elements and energy is not 'I'. 'I' am not the elements and energy. There is no 'I'.

Because it's selfless, there is not even 'I am That', or 'I am infinite', or 'I am all pervading', or 'I am all existence', or 'I am all bliss', or 'I am all powerful', or 'I am all wise', or 'I am all compassionate', or 'I am selfless', or 'I am that I am', or 'I am the higher consciousness', or 'I am the pure consciousness', or 'I am identical with the selfless universal consciousness', and so on.

This is not about challenging certain egoistic beliefs, values and practice, but merely for the mind to reflect upon, and inquire towards the truth of everything under an open, calm, and purified mind, to be free from ignorance and the suffering deriving from ignorance.

The minds that realize this, are resting in silence and unconditional peace, witnessing ceaseless selfless impermanent changes, being undetermined and undisturbed by the selfless impermanent mind perception of all kinds of names and forms arising, changing, and passing away.

'Selflessness', 'impermanence', 'uncertainty', 'unknown', 'old age', 'death', 'illness', 'weakness', 'injury', 'limitation', 'disability', 'separation from the loved ones', 'coming in contact with the disagreeable ones', 'undesirable and unpleasant conditions and situations', 'undesirable and disagreeable experiences', 'failure', 'solitude', 'renunciation', 'dispassion', 'simplicity', 'poverty', 'illiteracy', 'mental and emotional independence', 'responsibility', 'non-attachment', and so on, are painful sorrow and suffering to the minds that don't realize this.

'Ignorance' is widely being misinterpreted as illiteracy, uneducated, low intelligence, as well as not experiencing or not knowing many things in this world, but all these don't really indicate or determine the presence or absence of ignorance in the mind. One can be highly literate, highly educated, highly intelligent, as well as has been experiencing or knowing many things in this world, but still, the mind can be functioning under the veil of ignorance, being over-powered by the idea of 'I', egoism, impurities and restlessness, having corrupted thinking and behavior, as well as perceiving disturbance, hurt and the suffering deriving from all that. One can be illiterate, uneducated, low intelligence, as well as not experiencing or not knowing many things in this world, however, the mind can be peaceful, wise and compassionate, is free from ignorance, the idea of 'I', egoism, impurities and restlessness, or is void of corrupted thinking and behavior, disturbance, hurt, or the suffering deriving from all that.

There is nothing magical or mystical. There is no need miracle. There is no super extra ordinary power that can alter or change the truth of selflessness and impermanence.

Suffering arise upon the presence of attachment or grasping, upon the presence of ignorance. There is no need to be liberated from suffering as there's no suffering upon the absence of attachment or grasping, upon the absence of ignorance.

Do not blind-agreeing/disagreeing, blind-believing, blind-following, blind-practicing, or blind-propagating, including all the teachings of yoga and/or buddhism, coming from anyone or anywhere.

Inquire towards the truth of everything.

Yoga classes for self-inquiry and self-realization

"What type of yoga do you teach?"

This is the most common question.

Just by saying, "It's about yoga," it doesn't answer the minds, "I know it's about yoga, but what I want to know is what type of yoga classes?"

The yoga classes are for the minds that are genuinely interested in learning, studying and practicing the essential teachings of yoga and vedanta for self-inquiry and self-realization, and it doesn't necessarily has to be in a yoga school, or a yoga studio, or a yoga hall, in a yoga class. It's happening anywhere, at any time, in the selfless modification of the mind.

Even though yoga is for all minds indiscriminately to be free from ignorance and the suffering deriving from ignorance, to stop generating hurtful damaging actions/reactions and consequences of actions/reactions unto oneself and others and the surrounding environment ignorantly, however, not all minds would be interested in the yoga practice for self-inquiry and self-realization. It's also useless to the minds that are completely lost without certain degrees of sanity, that don't have any reasoning power. That's why it's never too late to help oneself when it's still possible, but also don't wait until it's too late when one couldn't help oneself at all.

It could be quite unpleasant, disagreeing, and even offensive, disturbing and annoying, especially for the minds that have intense attachment and identification and pride towards the idea of 'I' and egoism, as well as towards their particular worldly egoistic beliefs, ideas, values, desires, expectations and practices.

This is not a discrimination at all, but it's merely compassion, to be avoiding the suffering minds generate further unnecessary disturbance in themselves and unto the surrounding environment.

There are many yoga classes in the world catering for these minds to be developing the basic awareness and understanding, before the initiation onto the path of self-inquiry and self-realization. There are quite many 'certified yoga teachers' who have been practicing and teaching certain type and style of yoga for many years are also not ready for the path of self-inquiry and self-realization.

As those who are ready for the path of self-inquiry and self-realization, there's no such thing as 'yoga teacher training certification' or 'internationally recognition authorized by international yoga alliance'.

That's why many silent meditation retreat courses are very serious on the background check for any existing mental health issue and intoxication addiction, where those who have serious mental health issue or addiction towards certain kind of intoxication, are not allowed to be attending such courses, that involve deep mind purification process that are quite unpleasant, disturbing or painful to the minds.

And hence, it would be more suitable for the minds that have certain degrees of awareness towards the existence of ignorance in themselves, and have certain degrees of yearning towards attaining liberation from ignorance, that are willingly to open their mind to be receiving the teachings of yoga and vendanta.

It can be helpful, even though there's no guarantee, for the minds that are suffering from certain mental and emotional disturbance, but are being confused or don't really understand what is happening in the mind, while still have certain degrees of awareness being aware of all that, and have certain degrees of will power of wanting to be free from all kinds of suffering or disturbance, to take full responsibility towards looking after the over-all physical and mental well-being of oneself, to realize unconditional peace and happiness out of one's freewill and self-effort, in this precious momentary selfless impermanent life existence.

There's no guarantee that all minds that are interested in the path of yoga for self-inquiry and self-realization would be free from the veil of ignorance, as it depends solely on the causation and effort of the mind itself.

When the selfless mind is 'stuck' or 'lost' somewhere in the selfless restless modification of the mind, it has to depend on itself to find its way to come out from that.

That's why the minds that understand, "I want to try, and I will do my best, even if I don't achieve success, and that's okay," under certain degrees of mental and emotional maturity or independence, they can walk alone on the path of self-inquiry and self-realization.

The path is all alone, even if there are many others are walking on the same path. All kinds of guidance and teachers that are available for the mind in the present moment now, are all impermanent. The only teacher, teachings and practice that is with the mind throughout the entire path, is itself.

In this present moment, as the selfless mind is coming in contact with all these here, upon how the selfless mind perceives, reacts, reasons, understands and realizes, either with or without attachment, identification, desire of craving and aversion, judgment and expectation, is indeed the yoga class, the teachings and the practice.

The minds that are free from ignorance and suffering, they don't need all these. They don't need the teachings and practice of yoga and vedanta for self-inquiry and self-realization.

Inquire the truth of everything.

How to teach the yoga class for thinning out and eradicating ignorance, egoism, impurities and restlessness?

In the yoga asana practice class, it's about thinning out and eradicating ignorance, egoism and impurities in the process of learning and doing the different yoga asana poses or exercises, by integrating the essential teachings of yoga into the yoga practice and in daily life, to be influencing the states of the mind, bringing the mind into the present moment, and rendering the mind focused, relaxed, calmed and quiet, free from restlessness, to prepare the mind for meditation and self-inquiry.

There's only one type of yoga class, that is about the yoga practice to be annihilating the idea of 'I' by eradicating ignorance, egoism, impurities and restlessness while learning and performing the yoga asana practice, breathing exercises, concentration practice, relaxation, and etc.

The yoga class is being delivered in a spontaneous way without any pre-planning of what to teach, as one will never know what will be there beyond the present moment, but only what is here in the present moment, of what is available or not available and what is possible or not possible, that is changing every moment, but teaching the class as it goes, based on how is everyone acting and reacting in the yoga class while learning and performing or trying to perform the different yoga practice, that is allowing the yoga students to come in contact with the essential teachings of yoga, to have direct experience towards the teachings, to be developing correct understanding, that leads towards the thinning out and eradication of ignorance, egoism, impurities and restlessness, efficiently.

All and everyone come into life existence as it is, while learning and evolving as it is, as life is.

There's no separation of different levels of yoga asana practice classes. There's no beginner class, intermediate class, or advance class, including those that have been teaching yoga, regardless of how long one has been practicing or teaching yoga. Allowing everyone under different physical conditions and different states of the mind, different experiences in the practice of yoga under different brand names and styles, different physical ability and limitation, personality, social background, educational level, profession, understanding, thinking, belief, desire and expectation to be in the same class. There's no authorization, certification or qualification involved for the learning and practice, or upon the end of learning and practice. As the presence and absence of ignorance and suffering is nothing to do with all the different qualities of names and forms.

Someone who is very strong and flexible and has good stamina, someone who is strong but not flexible, someone who is flexible but not strong, or someone who is not strong and not flexible and has no stamina, or someone who has good stamina, but is not strong and not flexible, they all just do what they can do, as they are, in the present moment, without attachment or identification, without judgment or expectation, without comparing or competing with others or with oneself in the different practice session. They might look or feel differently from one another while being in the same position or in the different positions, it's not important.

The asana position or the particular exercise has no quality or intention to be easy or difficult, to be gentle or intense, it's merely how everyone reacts differently towards the same or different asana poses or exercises depending on their physical condition, skill, stamina, strength and flexibility as well as their states of the mind in the present moment. And all is impermanent. Today is easy, tomorrow might be difficult, and vice versa. That will allow the mind to understand about everything is neither good nor bad, neither positive nor negative, neither meaningful nor meaningless, neither right nor wrong, but it's how their own mind reacts towards everything based on certain existing condition and influence in the mind.

It's all about developing right discrimination that leads towards non-separateness in the world of many diversities, that give rise to unconditional peace and harmony in oneself, that contributes peace and harmony into the surrounding environment. It is not coming from any particular quality of name and form to be determining whether there is the presence of peace, wisdom and compassion in the mind, or not, or whether the mind is free from ignorance, egoism, impurities and restlessness, or not, and is free from the suffering deriving from all that, or not.

The first few sessions are highly important. It's not so much about teaching some basic yoga poses, basic breathing exercises, basic chanting, basic concentration, or basic relaxation. But, it's to allow the minds to be opened, without expectation, even before learning to be performing any kind of yoga practice under certain names and forms, that might or might not initiate a tiny spark of 'awareness' or 'awakening' in the mind towards itself, that initiates or leads the mind onto the path of self-inquiry and self-realization, even if the mind is still very much under the influence of ignorance and egoism. Or else, even after many years of performing certain yoga practice in silence, or in mindfulness, regularly, and gaining all sorts of momentary health and fitness benefits, the mind might still have no idea towards what is yoga and the yoga practice.

Begin the yoga class with -

- Allowing the body and mind to be in a most relaxing position. What is the most relaxing position for different people with different physical condition, ability and limitation, can be very different from one another.

- Guiding the minds to be focusing on the basic abdominal breathing for a few moments, regardless of being in what kind of relaxing position, while letting the practitioners know that they can change the position at anytime if they start to feel discomfort being in a particular position for some time, even if it seemed to be the most comfortable position in the beginning. That is already the first lesson about direct experience towards the truth of impermanence and selflessness.

By observing the breath coming and going, will allow the mind to see the selfless impermanence in the breathing, where even if without the awareness towards the breath, the breath is still coming and going, and one day it will stop coming and going. Suffering will arise, if one just want to breathe in and doesn't want to breathe out, and vice versa, or not breathing in and not breathing out. Suffering will arise when the mind tries to control, or interfere, or go against the natural process of selfless impermanent changes. That basic understanding will eventually leads the mind towards seeing the selfless impermanence throughout the entire body as well as in the modification of the mind, where there is no 'I' throughout the body and the thinking mind. It's also the lesson about regardless of what position or movement, action or inaction, comfortable or uncomfortable, it is not important at all. All are impermanent. It doesn't determine whether a mind is peaceful, wise and compassionate, or not. Even the presence of ignorance and suffering in the mind is also limited and conditional, selfless and impermanent.

- Guiding the mind into relaxing the entire physical body part by part, by letting go any existing physical tension in the physical body as much as possible, which will also lead to release certain tension in the mind, allowing the mind to be relaxed. A relaxed mind will be more open and focus, as well as making it easier for understanding the basic and yet essential teachings of yoga, to be integrating the teachings into the yoga asana practice. It's not about 'achieving' relaxation, but more about 'letting go' tension, while allowing the body to be relaxed, or not, even though the two of them seem to be the same without any difference, but it will make a huge difference in the understanding of the mind. And it's okay, if after trying to relax the body, but the body is still unable to be relaxed, and learn how to not generating and accumulating unnecessary tension in the first place. It allows the mind to eventually understand what is performing action without attachment or expectation towards the action and the fruit of action, and not being determined by the action and the fruit of action.

It's about letting go the urge to be in control of or interfering with the law of nature. There's no need to be challenging the limitation of the limited conditional selfless body and mind, or forcing the body and mind to go beyond its limitation, in order to be achieving all one's boundless passionate desires, or constantly struggling to be going against natural selfless impermanent changes. One shouldn't be struggling even in the yoga practice, not to say, to be frustrated about something in the process of learning and performing certain yoga practice.

Such as, if the mind starts to be struggling or frustrating while trying to observe the breath, or while trying to focus and concentrate, then it is out of the practice already. It's about knowing and accepting that the mind cannot observe the breath, or couldn't focus and concentrate in this moment, and even this is also impermanent, it will change. No need to struggle or be frustrated about anything. Just try, and see what happens. If the mind wanders away, gently bring it back to the point of attention or concentration, without force or struggling, without judgment or expectation.

In the first initial class, and the next following classes, while teaching and guiding the minds to be performing certain basic yoga poses and exercises -

- Guiding the minds towards what is open-mindedness, non-blind believing, non-blind following, non-blind practicing, non-blind agreeing and disagreeing, where it is okay for the mind to be disagreeing towards certain teachings or practice, and doesn't like or doesn't want to practice certain teachings or practice that is contradicting towards the existing belief, values and practice in the mind, but more importantly, is not to be blind agreeing or blind disagreeing towards anything, but be opened to inquire the truth of everything, including all the teachings and practice of yoga, as well as all the existing belief, values and practice in the mind that is influencing how the mind thinks, believes and disbelieves, reasons, judges, feels, desires and doesn't desire, behaves, acting and reacting.

- Deliver about what is non-important or irrelevant and what is essential or relevant on the path of yoga towards the realization of unconditional peace and harmony deriving from correct understanding, or wisdom. This unconditional peace and harmony is not the same as the momentary pleasant satisfactory state of mind that is induced by certain physical and mental activities or drug usage, or upon coming in contact with pleasant, agreeable and desirable experiences, or upon the gratification of desires. Where all kinds of yoga practices are there merely to be helping the mind for developing and empowering the supportive elements of inner stamina, inner strength and inner flexibility for fueling the path of yoga, which is patience, determination, perseverance, forbearance, tolerance, acceptance, adjustment, adaptation, accommodation, and etc.

Patience, forbearance, tolerance, acceptance, adjustment, adaptation and accommodation is all about oneself being patient, forbearing, tolerant, accepting, adjustable, adaptable and accommodating towards something that is unpleasant, disagreeable or undesirable to the mind itself. It's not at all about coming from oneself expecting others to be patient, forbearing, tolerant, accepting, adjustable, adaptable and accommodating towards oneself for being unpleasant, disagreeable and undesirable to other minds.

It's also not about expecting understanding, agreement, sympathy or empathy from others towards one's imperfection or suffering. Most minds feel disturbed, unhappy, offended, hurt, unloved, left out or meaningless upon the absence of patience, forbearance, tolerance, acceptance, adjustment, adaptation, accommodation, understanding, agreement, loving kindness, support, encouragement, console, sympathy and empathy from others towards one's suffering or imperfection, it's all because of the presence of expectation from oneself towards others should be showing all these names and forms unto oneself, instead of oneself is being free from such expectation, and allowing others to show all these names and forms towards the suffering or imperfection in oneself and/or others, or not.

What the body can do or cannot do, can achieve or cannot achieve, and what the mind can understand or cannot understand, knows and doesn't know, has or doesn't have, feels or doesn't feel, likes or doesn't like, agrees with and doesn't agree with, is not important at all. It's about do what is possible now, and letting go what is impossible now. What is possible and impossible in this moment, are also impermanent. It's about respecting the truth of selflessness and impermanence.

It's about performing the practice according to the physical condition and the state of the mind in the present moment now, which is impermanent. Accepting the selfless body and the selfless modification of the mind in the present moment now as they are, allowing them to change, as they are, and accepting all the selfless impermanent changes as they are.

It is not about the yoga poses, or the physical alignment, or the effects of the practice. It's not about the enhancement of physical health and fitness condition, ability, strength and flexibility. It's not about learning to perform some basic yoga asana practice, and then learning to do some intermediate yoga asana practice, and then learning to do some challenging and complicated advanced yoga asana practice, and then learning to do more challenging and more complicated more advanced asana practice, keeps on pushing the body beyond its limitation, until the body and mind breakdown or suffer. One doesn't need to push the body and mind beyond its limitation until suffering from certain physical injuries or until death, in order to be aware of the ego and egoism, to be aware of the modification of the mind, to be aware of impermanence and selflessness, and to be free from ignorance and suffering.

It's about knowing what is going on in the mind and how the mind reacts towards everything via the middle path. It's the implementation of non-attachment, non-identification, non-craving, non-aversion, non-comparison, non-judgment and non-expectation, that will be thinning out the idea of 'I' and egoism, that leads to self-inquiry and self-realization towards the truth of impermanence and selflessness.

- Deliver the basic essential teachings of yoga about letting go the idea of 'I'. It's not 'I' am learning and performing the yoga practice. It's the selfless physical body with the selfless thinking mind is learning and performing the yoga practice.

- Deliver about non-attachment, non-identification, non-craving, non-aversion, non-comparison, non-judgment, and non-expectation towards the action of learning and practice and towards the fruit or the effect of all kinds of actions that is different from moment to moment, while teaching the different minds under different personal experiences, physical conditions, ability and limitation, and states of the mind, without discrimination, superiority or inferiority. Where different bodies and different states of the mind have different reaction towards the different or same practices on different timings or in different practice sessions. And everyone learns to take responsibility towards their own desire and don't desire, action and reaction, and the consequences of their desires, actions and reactions, as well as take responsibility towards looking after their own mind and over-all well-being.

Allowing the mind to have the direct experience towards being aware of and observing the selfless impermanent different physical sensations and different states of the mind in different positions or different practices, of all kinds of random thoughts, ideas, imaginations, memories, anticipations, fear, worry, happiness, unhappiness, hopes, despairs, disappointment, intimidation, self-esteem, pride, frustration, irritation, painful sorrow, hurts, offensiveness, defensiveness, anger, hatred, greed, satisfaction, dissatisfaction, and the spontaneous reactions in the mind towards all the selfless impermanent effects and changes arising, changing, and passing away in the physical body and the thinking mind during the entire process of learning and practicing, without attachment, identification, craving, aversion, judgment, comparison or expectation, while attaining direct experience towards the truth of impermanence and selflessness, during and after the process of learning and practicing.

- Without empowering the egoism or the idea of 'I' in the minds, but guiding them on how to be free from egoism and the idea of 'I', to attain mental and emotional independence, free from craving and aversion, not being determined by the presence or absence of attention, acknowledgement, encouragement, praise and compliment, not being determined by the actions and the fruit of actions, not being determined by duality of goodness and badness, positiveness and negativeness, pleasantness and unpleasantness, agreements and disagreements, desire and don't desire, happiness and unhappiness, meaningfulness and meaninglessness, and etc. And eventually, not to be determined by the specific thinking, belief, values and practice in the mind to think, judge, behave, act and react in certain way.

- It's up to the minds themselves towards what they want or don't want to practice. It's everyone's freedom for what they want and don't want. They can put aside whatever they don't want to practice in the present moment now, but then, be open minded, as they might want to pick them up later.

From then on in all the yoga classes, all kinds of different physical and mental practices being introduced, taught, learned and practiced in the yoga classes, are all about mind purification and self-discipline, and maybe some other helpful observations that lead the mind towards the weakening, or thinning out, or eradication of ignorance, egoism, impurities and restlessness. It's not about attaining the momentary benefits or effects of the different practices, but allowing the benefits or effects being there, or not, as they are, and they are impermanent, and they cannot determined whether the mind will be free from ignorance, egoism, impurities and restlessness, or not, to attain self-realization and be free from suffering, or not.

After learning the basic essential teachings and practices, under the presence of correct understanding, right effort, self-independence, self-control and self-discipline, one stops attending yoga classes and begins self-practice in solitude, and in everyday life.

One doesn't need to be doing any yoga poses, or breathing exercises, or chanting, or ritual, or specific method of meditation to be attaining self-realization, or to be free from suffering, or to be peaceful, wise and compassionate, although all kinds of practices served as the helpful tools.

While the essential teachings and practice of eradicating ignorance, egoism, impurities and restlessness is being practiced in everyday life, at anytime and anywhere, with or without performing specific type of yoga practice under certain names and forms, in all kinds of actions, dealings, ties and connections, relationships, communications, interactions and activities, where the mind is aware of what is going on in the mind, without grasping or attachment, without identification or association, without craving or aversion, without comparison or judgment, and with expectation. Being at peace, content, fearless and worryless under any conditions or situations, being undetermined and undisturbed by any pleasant and unpleasant, agreeable and disagreeable, desirable and undesirable life experiences.

Open mind, non-blind believing, inquiring towards the truth of everything

Some minds will be offended by the teachings and practice of "Open mind, non-blind believing, and inquiring towards the truth of everything," as these minds are being conditioned to believe that "Open mind, non-blind believing, and inquiring towards the truth of everything, particularly one's own belief, values and practice," is something wrong and sinful and punishable, even without knowing exactly why is it wrong and sinful, just because that was what they were being told by some others, by their parents, elders, teachers, or leaders.

Quite many people growing up being told by their parents, or teachers, or leaders, "Just listen to and follow what I say, don't question. It's good for you. And if you don't, you will be punished. If I am hurting you, it's your own fault, because you are bad and no good. I am hurting you because I love you very much and I want you to be good. Be a good child." While many of them will be doing and saying the same thing to their children and to many others in the world.

Under such belief, values and practice, their followers are not allowed (under certain punishable man made law and order) to come in contact with any materials or information that are contradicting with that particular belief, values and practice, not to say, to be performing inquiry towards the truth of everything that the mind comes in contact with.

There will be many different kinds of books, classes, or events being banned or censored, particularly for their followers. They think and believe and propagate that this is for the good of their followers.

They are so afraid of losing the followers, or the support from the followers, or more precisely, losing the power of control, if their followers started to be opened for inquiring towards the truth of everything, including that particular belief, values and practice.

That only indicates that they themselves have no 'trust' or 'understanding' towards such belief, values and practice. This is what blind-believing, blind-following, blind-practicing, and blind-propagating, is about.

As if that belief, values and practice is all true and pure, and if that is the best and purest belief, values and practice that all and everyone in the world should be practicing, it won't be contaminated or offended by anything. There won't be fear towards anyone, followers or non-followers, performing inquiry towards the truth of those belief, values and practice.

Just as the teachings of yoga and buddhism, is all about non-blind believing, non-blind following and non-blind practicing, to inquiry towards the truth of everything, including all the teachings of yoga and buddhism, to attain self-realization. There's no authority, sin, judgment or punishment, if anyone doesn't inquire, doesn't understand, doesn't know, misunderstand, or doesn't practice. It's up to anyone to take it or leave it, realize or doesn't realize, know or doesn't know. It's everyone's freedom for what they desire and don't desire for themselves, regardless of being ignorant, or be free from ignorance. It's just actions and consequences of actions under the presence or absence of ignorance, governed by the nature's law of cause and effect.

In the teachings and practice of yoga and buddhism about dispassion and renunciation from worldly contacts, interactions, affairs and activities, to be refrained from books reading, news reading, magazines reading, movies or TV watching, it's not so much about keeping those information away from the knowledge of the mind, or to stop the mind from being exposed to 'bad influences', but it's more about to be quieting the restless modifications of the mind, as well as to allow the mind to stand as the third party to be looking into all those information from a different perspective, that enables the mind to inquire the truth of all those information, connections, interactions, affairs and activities, where they all are deriving from ignorance and egoism, as well as feeding ignorance and egoism.

The minds that know this, there's no offensiveness towards all kinds of beliefs, values and practices in the world, even if it's the product of ignorance and egoism, and might cause serious 'damages' to all and everything, directly or indirectly. All kinds of madness and corruptions in this world is merely because many minds are sick, or even very sick, and they don't know that they are sick, even when they are highly educated, and are highly successful in generating, accumulating and hoarding unlimited wealth. And many young children in the world growing up being empowered to look up at these sick minds, to be inspired by them, and be aspired to become like them.

The mind that knows, is undetermined by all the ignorance in the world. It's energy wasting. Though actions can be performed out of selfless compassion, without intention or expectation, making good use of this body and mind that is fleeting away.

Is this mind being offended by something that it doesn't like and doesn't agree with, that it thinks and believes is wrong and bad, or sinful, or insulting? If it does, know that it's merely because this mind is being conditioned by particular thinking, belief, values and practice. There's neither right nor wrong, neither good nor bad, if this mind is ignorant towards something or many things, and is being offended by this or that. More importantly, it's the presence of awareness towards the existence of ignorance in the thinking faculty without identification with the ignorance, and work diligently to remove this ignorance from the thinking faculty, without judgment or expectation. That is the beginning of compassion.

Inquire, inquire, and keep inquiring, until this mind sees the truth of everything.

Inquire the truth of everything regardless of whether the mind agrees or disagrees

One of the important teachings and practice of yoga and/or buddhism, is about the mind be opened and initiative and vigilant to inquire or investigate the truth of everything that it comes in contact with, regardless of whether there's autonomous agreement or disagreement coming from the intellectual reasoning, analysis and judgment towards everything based on the existing conditional and limited family/cultural/social/spiritual/religious/educational/philosophical/political/commercial/traditional/new-age thinking, belief, values and practice in the mind under the influence of ignorance and egoism.

Before reaching complete openness, or absolute non-attachment and non-identification, the mind needs to develop certain degrees of openness, or non-attachment and non-identification in the mind towards the existing thinking and belief, values and practice in the mind that is being conditioned and influenced by all kind of inputs of information/ideas/sayings/teachings coming from parents, elders, care takers, relatives, teachers, friends, communities, reading materials, medias, educations, or everywhere and everyone that oneself comes in contact with, that it has been absorbing and accumulating from the beginning of its selfless impermanent existence until the present.

All minds have the freedom to agree or disagree, to accept or reject, or to blind-agreeing/accepting or blind-disagreeing/rejecting towards anything, although there are certain corrupted ambitious minds desire to be restricting, oppressing, regulating, manipulating or controlling other minds to be thinking, believing, desiring, behaving, acting and reacting in certain way that they desire, out of certain selfish intention and desire to be achieving their particular vision, ambition and aspiration. All minds also be responsible towards their own freedom of thinking, belief, desires, actions and reactions, and the consequences of their desires, actions and reactions based on their thinking and belief.

Many minds might think that they are free minds that are free to think and believe what they are thinking and believing, and living life in certain way that they want and desire, not knowing that they have been being conditioned or influenced to be thinking and believing in such way, and desiring to live life in certain way, that mainly to be supporting and accomplishing the selfish desire of certain ambitious minds to create a world the way that they desire which benefits them selfishly.

Swami Sivananda and many other teachers from the past had been repeatedly advising the students/practitioners of yoga and/or buddhism to stay away from TV watching, radio listening, movie watching, theater visiting, books, magazines and newspapers reading, advertisements, politics, different type of groups/associations/organizations, (and in the modern era of higher technology now, many kind of social media platforms, which is nothing but the platforms for certain greedy ambitious minds to achieve their endless desires and aspirations), and etc. And hence, the high importance of renunciation, seclusion and solitude for a prolonged period of time for the practitioners in the path of yoga and/or buddhism, until the mind developed a strong foundation in correct understanding, dispassion, non-attachment and non-identification. Or else, it's very difficult for the mind to perform self-inquiry for attaining self-realization.

There's neither right nor wrong, even though the mind can be generating ceaseless unnecessary suffering to oneself and others and into the surrounding environment, either wittingly or unwittingly, if the mind is being ignorant towards ignorance, and ceaselessly thinking, believing, agreeing, disagreeing, acting and reacting under the influence of ignorance and egoism empowered by the many existing ignorant egoistic corrupted ambitious minds in the world.

Self-inquiry and self-realization is beyond skepticism, blind-disagreement, denial, or rejection towards everything.

Neither blind-agreement of accepting and agreeing with everything nor blind-disagreement of denying and disagreeing with everything without direct profound investigation or inquiry can lead the mind towards self-realization, or liberation from ignorance and the by-products of ignorance.

Blind-agreement is more dangerous than blind-disagreement. For the mind that has doubt, that is being aware of itself doesn't really know the truth of something, then, it's better to be blind-disagreeing/rejecting than to be blind-agreeing with/accepting that which it doesn't know for sure, however, this doesn't and cannot free the mind from ignorance.

Most minds merely agree or disagree towards everything that it comes in contact with, based on the particular existing thinking, belief, values and practice in the mind, but don't have the initiation to be investigating or inquiring further towards the truth of what it agrees or disagrees with. This is because the mind thinks and believes that, "There's absolutely nothing wrong or incorrect with my thinking and belief, that sets as the guidelines for me to reason and judge towards everything, where what I judge as right, is right, and what I judge as wrong, is wrong," while being strongly disagreeing with "Anything that is different from my understanding and judgment based on my thinking and belief." And hence, "Why do I need to question towards my thinking and belief that is all right and nothing wrong?"

Yoga and buddhism practitioners need to know how to go beyond the autonomous agreements and disagreements that arise and exist in the mind, void of blind-agreement and blind-disagreement, where it doesn't need to accept or reject anything, while perceiving or witnessing everything being there, arising, changing, and passing away, but at the same time, be initiative to be making an effort to inquire and investigate towards the truth of everything under an open mind, including all the teachings and practice of yoga and buddhism, as well as what is here, without being influenced by the existing thinking and belief, values and practice in the mind.

It's seeing/witnessing/contemplating the truth of selflessness and impermanence in all kind of names and forms that the mind perceives through the senses, including the function and existence of the modification of the mind itself, that which is also seeing/witnessing/contemplating itself as it is, which is selfless and impermanent.

Such as through the selfless function of the sense organ of eyes/the sense of seeing, the selfless impermanent mind perceives and investigates what it sees (all kind of selfless and impermanent names and forms), as well as perceiving and investigating the existence and function of the sense organ of eyes/the sense of seeing themselves, as well as the perceptive mind itself that perceives and investigates. Both subject and object are selfless and impermanent. The knife that cuts an object and the object that is being cut by the knife, and the one who uses the knife to cut an object, as well as the elements that enable all that to be existing and happening, are all selfless and impermanent.

The great difficulty on the path of self-realization towards selflessness is that, even when the intellectual reasoning mind says, "I think I understand that," but not really, if the thinking mind is still being restless and perceiving all kind of suffering, being determined by all kind of names and forms that it perceives through the senses, as it still doesn't know how to be unattached and non-identifying towards the existence and function of the body and mind as well as the modifications of the mind, and it's still being over-powered by the passionate desire of craving and aversion, due to the deep rooted veil of ignorance. That's why even the highly intelligent, talented, skillful and knowledgeable minds/scientists/engineers/scholars/researchers/philosophers/inventors are not necessarily be free from disturbs, hurts, unhappiness, disappointment, dissatisfaction, fear, worry, anger, hatred, greed, jealousy, meaninglessness, restlessness, painful sorrow and suffering, if the mind is not free from ignorance and egoism. There's neither good nor bad.

There's no "I realized selflessness," or "I understand," or "I am selfless," upon the realization of selflessness, upon the annihilation of the idea of 'I'. Such minds are not moved or disturbed by anything. And it's nothing extraordinary. It's just what things are.

There's neither "I want to be good. I want you to be good. I want life to be good. I want the world to be good. I want everyone to be good." The 'good and positive' minds that propagate 'goodness and positive thinking' in the world, that want to influence and change everything to be all good and positive, might disagree with this, and think, "This is so negative." That's their freedom of thinking and understanding.

Realize this, and be free.

Want to learn and practice yoga? (21)

Opening the thinking faculty, or the perceptive cognitive assertive mind, is highly essential on the path of yoga for enabling the mind to perform self-inquiry or investigation towards the truth of names and forms.

Somehow, there are people of certain cultures/beliefs/spiritualities in the world are very fearful or superstitious towards 'open-mind'.

These different cultures/beliefs/spiritualities have a common element, where they all have the great aspiration, duty or mission of attracting/recruiting/converting as many people as possible to become their 'submissive', 'faithful', 'obedient' and 'contributive' members/followers/supporters, where the teachings, values and practice involved certain 'superior authorization', 'submissiveness towards the authority', 'non-disagreement and non-questioning towards the teachings and practices', 'blind-following', 'blind-believing', 'blind-practicing', 'blind-propagating', 'one big family-hood/brother-hood protecting each other from outsiders/non-followers', 'obligatory contribution', 'sinfulness', 'shamefulness', 'guilt', 'fear', 'threats', 'self-punishment', or 'fearful punishment from the superiority or authority', under the so called 'loving kindness' of 'We love you', 'We only want you to be good' and 'All these are for your own good'.

Most people are being taught from young that all and everyone need to develop and empower a self-identity and self-image that attached and identified towards certain names and forms that they 'inherited', 'possessed', 'be given' and 'belonged to', that rely on receiving love, agreement, acceptance, approval, acknowledgement, praise and support from 'the authority' or 'the superiority', or from all the others in the family/relationship/community/world, in order to feel love, good, happy, confident, proud, deserving, positive, successful and meaningful about oneself and life existence.

All these 'ideas', 'values' and 'practices' exist in different kinds of cultures/spiritualities/beliefs influencing the way of living, action/reaction and aspiration in the family, the relationship, the community, the school, the career, the business, the leadership, the political institution, and so on, with great ambition to be creating and empowering a personal and community world that they desire based on certain ideas, values and practices.

Non-attachment and non-identification is indeed 'unintentionally' going against all kinds of egoistic ideas, values and practices that exist and survive largely on the intense attachment and identification from everyone towards all those ideas, values and practices. The elimination of egoism in human beings is the highest threat towards their existence in the world.

'Open-minded to be inquiring towards the truth of everything' is being described by certain people as something 'wrongful', 'evil' and 'sinful', and it's 'punishable', where they relate 'being open-minded' to 'engaging in immoral and irresponsible way of living and behavior', where 'rebellious' people want to be experimenting as many 'things' as possible in the world without reasoning whether it would cause certain harmful and damaging consequences onto oneself and others as well as the surrounding environment. They propagate that 'inquiring or questioning the truth of everything, particularly towards their own belief, teachings, values and practices' means "Disrespectfulness, unfaithfulness, humiliation, ungratefulness and offensiveness towards the superiority or authority that 'love' and 'care for' all and everyone very much". But more importantly, is that they need to maintain and increase the amount of 'obedient'/'submissive' members/followers/supporters/contributors, and don't want to be loosing their 'army' and 'rice bowl' that give them 'the superior status and power'.

In certain culture/spirituality/belief, people believe and propagate that 'open-mind' is something extremely 'dangerous', as they propagate that 'the soul' would 'fly away' from the body upon the mind is opened, where 'the soul' might not be able to come back into the body. Not sure whether they are afraid of a soul-less body or a body-less soul.

Meanwhile, in certain cultural belief and practice, during a funeral, one needs to burn the left behind clothing that belonged to the dead person who was their beloved family member, so that the dead person can have some clothing to wear when they are in another world (so thoughtful and loving, BUT), however, one also needs to cut some holes in all the pockets of the clothing that are going to be burnt, so that the dead person won't be taking the wealth and prosperity in the family with him/her to the other world, while at the same time, one also needs to buy many different kinds of expensive paper made 'material objects and enjoyments' to be burnt as well, so that the dead person can have and enjoy all those 'things' in the other world (so that the dead person won't get too upset about all the pockets of the clothing are being cut deliberately).

There's a threat about if one didn't follow everything that supposed to be done during the funeral of one's beloved family member, then the dead person (particularly one's loving father or mother) will come back into this world to haunt or hurt oneself and the entire family. And most people from that culture, including some highly educated ones, would just blindly follow all kinds of 'practices', spending lots of money in funerals, and they will pass down such 'practices' to their next generations, as they don't want to risk loosing their wealth and prosperity, as well as they don't want anything 'bad' to be happening to themselves and their next generations, if they don't follow all kinds of 'practices' accordingly, or, they simply don't want to 'offend' or 'upset' any others in the family and community of that culture. This includes some 'yoga practitioners' and 'yoga teachers' who inherited or adopted any kind of culture, who might still attaching and identifying towards, and be determined by certain culture/spirituality/belief, and either wittingly or unwittingly, bringing certain ideas, values and practices from their culture/spirituality/belief into the world of yoga as well.

That's why 'open-mind' is being seen as something 'wrong' and 'evil' by some people of certain culture/spirituality/belief in the world. It's not good for many kinds of money making 'business' and 'superior status and power'.

That's why the importance of renunciation to move away from all kinds of worldly egoistic thinking, belief, values and practice, in order to allow the mind to be free from being influenced by all those ideas, values and practices, unwittingly.

Open-mind in yoga, is about unattached and unidentified towards any particular worldly egoistic social/cultural/spiritual/religious/philosophical/educational/political/commercial thinking, belief, values and practice, allowing the mind to see the truth of everything as it is, without being influenced by all those worldly egoistic thinking, belief, values and practice, to reason, analyze, judge, feel, act and react.

It's not about being curious, adventurous or fearless to be experimenting all kinds of experiences, things, elements, substances, practices and activities in the world, blindly and irresponsibly, without considering the side-effects of certain actions, that might cause certain harmful and damaging consequences onto oneself and others, and the surrounding environment. Instead, one should have right discrimination and self-control to not engaging in any activities that would be harmful to the well-being of oneself and others, and the surrounding environment.

It's about non blind-agreeing, non blind-disagreeing, non blind-following, non blind-believing, non blind-practicing and non blind-propagating.

It's not about being rebellious or skeptical, to be blind-disagreeing or blind-denying towards everything.

It's about allowing the mind to be opened to inquire or see the truth of everything as it is.

Inquire towards the truth of everything, including all kinds of information, knowledge and teachings accumulated from everywhere, regardless of agreeable or disagreeable based on one's existing thinking and belief, accumulated from the very beginning of learning and absorbing all kinds of inputs, coming from parents, caretakers, elders, school teachers, spiritual teachers and leaders, philosophers, political leaders, researchers, scientists, historians, famous people, community leaders, social medias, influencers, relatives and friends, including from the many different kinds of yoga teachers, yoga gurus, yoga schools, yoga courses or yoga books, as well as all the teachings here.

Some 'worrying' people say, "Oh, the world of ignorance needs such attachment and identification towards certain civilized belief, values and practice to lead and guide (more precisely, to control) all the ignorant beings to be good and do good (more precisely, conditioning everyone to be thinking and behaving in certain way). Or else, everyone will behave ignorantly (more precisely, want everyone to behave/don't behave in the way that 'I' and 'we' want them to behave/don't behave)." Really? Why not allowing everyone to be free from ignorance and none needs to be 'controlled' by anyone, instead of keeping everyone under the influence of ignorance and need to be 'controlled' by someone, so tiring? Did the world has less ignorant behavior and consequences of ignorance, after many thousands years of civilization under certain cultural belief, values and practice?

The minds argue, "Even in the teachings of yoga mentioning about the different types of students of different degrees of ignorance. There are many 'wet woods' that need to be 'controlled' by certain belief, values and practice, to behave and don't behave in certain ways, by oppressing their thinking and behavior, and planting fear in them so that they will be afraid of punishment and won't do anything that they shouldn't do, that we think is bad and wrong." Really? Wet woods will also have the opportunity to become dry wood if they are being away from moisture and be dried under natural element of heat or wind, but no, some minds deliberately want to keep them in moisture all the time, just because the minds with certain intention think that since they are wet woods, and hence, they should somehow always be keeping in wet environment and not allowed to be dried, and they would be threatened and punished by those minds, if they ever try to be dried. It's because wet woods are 'useful' for them, for helping them to achieve their certain ambition.

Those who would be 'disappointed', 'disrespected', 'humiliated', 'intimidated', 'offended' and 'angered' by others who question the truth of everything, by threatening everyone that they would be 'punished' by 'certain authority' for being open-minded to be questioning the truth of everything, particularly towards certain belief, teachings, values and practice, and they would act and react under the name of 'the authority' saying that "I am representing the authority to punish you for your bad and wrongful behavior", are nothing to do with Dhamma, or Teachers of Dhamma, or Yoga, or Buddhism, that is all about self-inquiry to be inquiring towards the truth of everything.

Intelligent successful inspirational and aspirational people/influencers - "Gain more knowledge and experience, and stay updated and connected with the world by reading as many books, newspapers and magazines as possible (except the banned ones), watching and listening to as many TV, radio and social media programs as possible (except the filtered out ones), and experimenting as many experiences as possible (except the prohibited ones). Be inspired by all those successful people in the world, and be aspired to become like them. Follow and support them, and you will be supported to become like them."

Meanwhile,

Swami Sivananda - "Stay away from television and movies watching, novels, newspapers and magazines reading, or radio listening. Renounce worldly affairs, activities, entertainments, interactions, connections and communications. Do not mix. Do not build ashrams. Do not hoard disciples. Live alone. Walk alone. Eat alone. Meditate alone. Inquire the truth of everything via self-inquiry and self-realization."

Ajahn Chah - "There's only one book to read, and it's this one within oneself. Inquire the truth of everything via self-inquiry and self-realization."

Inquire why such advice.

Everything has certain risks, including yoga practice

Any action that we perform and any decision that we make, even in some simple things like breathing, eating, drinking, walking, talking, opening and closing the door or window, cleaning, washing, or even sleeping, will have certain risks that we might not think of, not to say, for certain people who have certain physical or mental illness, injuries or limitations to be doing something, or for those who have certain allergic reactions towards certain elements in the surrounding environment, objects, sounds, smells, shapes, colours, images, food, drinks, drugs, medications, minerals or chemicals, and etc.

Even with sufficient understanding about our own physical body and mind and its ability and limitation in the present moment, as well as paying maximum attention while performing our yoga practice without forcing the body beyond its limitation, also cannot guarantee that there won't be any physical and mental unpleasantness or adverse reaction during and/or after the practice, not to say, when we have very little understanding about our own physical body and mind and its ability and limitation, or if we don't pay attention onto our practice, or pushing the body to go beyond its limitation, and/or without awareness towards certain risk factors that exist in the surrounding environment.

Some people are not suitable to perform certain yoga practice, while some people are not suitable to perform some of the yoga poses or exercises due to some existing physical and/or mental illness, injuries, or limitations. Not everyone have the same condition of the physical body or the same state of the mind. Even the physically and/or mentally fit people who first try to perform some of the yoga practice or yoga asana practice would also encounter certain unpleasantness or difficulty, and might even develop some adverse reaction during and/or after the practice, not to say, for certain people who are physically and/or mentally unfit, where they might encounter great unpleasantness and adverse reaction during and/or after the practice, which may take some time and regular practice for the body and mind to develop certain degrees of understanding, skill, technique, acceptance, familiarity, patience, tolerance, forbearance, adjustment, adaptation and accommodation towards the practice.

Does that means 'yoga practice', or 'yoga asana practice', or 'certain yoga practice and yoga asana practice' are something 'unsafe' or 'bad' for people, and people shouldn't practice yoga?

Again, it depends on the different states of the mind under the influence of different degrees of ignorance, some minds will think and say, "Yes. That means yoga practice is unsafe and bad for people. It may cause unpleasantness and adverse reaction to our body and mind. We all shouldn't practice yoga," while some minds have different understanding and say, "No. It doesn't. Everything has risk. We take risks at our own responsibility. There are many elements that can influence and minimize/maximize the risks to the minimum or maximum."

There are also many imperfect impure minds within the yoga community whose thinking, action and speech are not perfect, as well as scandalous misconducts existing within the world of yoga. It doesn't mean that 'yoga' or 'the teachings of yoga' is something 'wrong' or 'bad'. Although for those who don't have the basic correct understanding, they would think and say, "Yoga and the teachings of yoga must be so wrong and bad."

If the truth of something is 'nothing good but bad', then everyone who take that thing will all experience 'nothing good but bad reaction', and vice versa. Just like any kinds of drug or medicine might not be perfect or suitable for everyone. Everyone might react towards the same drug or medicine differently. It doesn't mean that the drug or medicine is something good or bad. It is neither good nor bad, but just having its own particular purpose and effect that might work differently on different individuals.

Whether we are aware or unaware of it, most of the time, we all are dealing with many kinds of risk assessment and risk taking while being existing and living in this world.

More importantly, it's about investigating the truth of everything via self-inquiry, measuring what will bring more benefits than harms, be bold and responsible to make any decision or perform any action in everyday life, while taking any potential risks that come along with making those decisions and performing those actions, without fear, blame and regret. It's also everyone's freedom of whether they want to take certain risks, or not.

There's nothing wrong if we don't know much about many things. There's nothing wrong to think and say, "I don't know," or "I'm not sure," as well as be open to inquire the truth towards something that we don't know and aren't sure about. It's better than blind-agreeing/disagreeing, blind-following, blind-practicing and blind-propagating something without thorough investigation towards the truth of it.

Unfortunately, many minds, including some yoga practitioners/teachers, are unaware of themselves are being influenced and conditioned deeply by certain stories, ideas and beliefs to reason and judge everything. While self-inquiry is about freeing the mind from the influence of any particular way of thinking, ideas and beliefs existing in the mind, to allow the mind to see things as it is.

Inquire towards egoistic reactions

The ego is pleased upon coming in contact with names and forms that it likes and agrees with.

It is displeased upon coming in contact with names and forms that it doesn't like and disagrees with.

It is happy and satisfied when it gets and experiences what it desires, and when it doesn't get or experience what it doesn't desire.

It is unhappy and dissatisfied when it gets and experiences what it doesn't desire, and when it doesn't get or experience what it desires.

It wants unrestricted freedom of expression and opinion for itself, to agree and disagree with something.

It allows limited freedom of expression and opinion for other people, to be restricted to express certain expression and opinion that it likes, desires and agrees with, that doesn't contradict its thinking and belief, but not allowing any kinds of expression or opinion that it doesn't like, doesn't desire and doesn't agree with, that contradicts its thinking and belief, especially if it's about other people's expression and opinion towards itself and everything that relates to itself.

It only welcomes agreement towards itself, while rejects and disallows any form of disagreements towards itself.

It feels offended, insulted, belittled, disrespected and hurt by other people's expression and opinion towards itself and anything that relates to itself, if those expressions and opinions are something that it doesn't like and disagrees with, even if those expressions and opinions are the truth, but it's inconvenient truth for the ego where it thinks it's going against itself, that is threatening something about itself, particularly when it's related to power and fame.

It feels satisfied, happy, pleased, respected and flattered by other people's expression and opinion towards itself and anything that relates to itself, if those expressions are what it likes and agrees with, even if those expressions are not really the truth, but it's convenient untruthfulness for the ego where it thinks it's favourable to itself, that is empowering something about itself, particularly when it's related to power and fame.

If the minds are not aware of this defilement in themselves when it is not too serious, when the minds still have certain awareness and self-control over the egoistic reactions, it would turn into a form of mental illness, where the minds are unable to reason or inquire the truth of anything, but living in a self-imagined 'perfect desirable reality' that is built according to what it likes and desires, and would be highly defensive and offensive towards the presence of any names and forms that it thinks and believes has the potential of contaminating, intimidating, threatening and damaging the 'perfect desirable reality' that it built for itself.

Yoga and Buddhism's essential practice is about mind purification of removing the defilement in the mind, to free the mind from ignorance and impurities. No doctor, or surgeon, or medicine, or Guru, or 'God', can remove the defilement in the mind but the mind itself. All minds are under the influence of certain degrees of defilement. Those who are fortunate to have awareness towards the defilement in the mind, and have self-control without being over-powered by the defilement, while be initiative to do something to eliminate defilement from the mind, is considered mentally healthy and matured. If the mind doesn't have awareness, and doesn't do anything about it, the defilement could expand to a greater degrees where the mind would be over-powered by the defilement, then it becomes a form of mental illness.

Those who are unfortunately suffering from mental illness, are losing the basic ability to process the thought activities, to reason and understand, where they cannot and don't know how to deal with certain or all the mind perception of names and forms, being confused and have no self-control over certain or all kinds of action and reaction. Those who are overly sensitive and easily being offended by this and that, who can't deal with and don't allow the presence of certain names and forms that they dislike and disagree with, where they think and believe that the presence of certain names and forms that they dislike and disagree with is the cause of all the disturbance in their minds, are indeed suffering from certain degrees of mental illness. Healthy minds have the basic ability to reason and understand, have self-control over actions and reactions, while allowing all kinds of likable and dislikable, agreeable and disagreeable names and forms being there as they are, without being determined or over-whelmed by all the names and forms being what they are.

The mind that is being determined by other people's perception or opinion towards itself, where it attaches onto and identifies with a personal and public self-identity and self-image that gives certain power and fame to itself that is being supported by some other people, will reject and disallow any forms of personal and public expression or opinion that appear to be disagreeable towards itself, or going against itself, as this mind doesn't want other people to come in contact with any personal and public expressions and opinions about itself that it thinks and believes will be threatening its power and fame relates to its particular public identity and image, and it wants to 'determine' how other people think and judge about itself, by 'controlling' and 'restricting' what type of personal and public expression and opinion to be exposed to other people, where it doesn't allow other people to be given the opportunity of coming in contact with all kinds of expressions and opinions as they are, to have the freedom to reason the truth of those expressions and opinions, and to make their own judgment towards any expressions and opinions, but this mind wants to control what people come in contact with, to 'make sure' that people only be exposed to expressions or opinions that will be in favour of its public identity and image, to secure its power and fame to be the way that it likes and desires. This mind is suffering from fear of losing the power and fame that it likes and desires.

A society that doesn't have the freedom of expression and opinion, that doesn't allow freedom of reasoning, that is being exposed to certain 'limited' and 'filtered' information, expression and opinion, with the intention to 'determine' and 'control' what people should and shouldn't be exposed to, in order to 'control' what people know and shouldn't know, that 'influencing' how people think, judge and believe, is unhealthy and detrimental to the long term over-all well-being of that society.

A healthy society that will make a country or the world strong and prosper, is when people are 'mentally matured', where people are being educated to develop the power of reasoning, to be exposed to all kinds of expression and opinion, and to have the freedom or opportunity to reason and make their own judgment towards what they want to agree and disagree with towards all kinds of information, expression and opinion. And that is the basic freedom or basic human rights, where people are free to reason and make their own judgment, regardless of whether people are agreeable or disagreeable towards certain information, expression and opinion based on their particular interest, thinking and belief.

A democratic country can be run by any leadership that is agreeable by the majority of the people, not by 'determining' or 'controlling' people's knowledge and judgment to be in favour of oneself to be in power, but by allowing the people to have the freedom to be exposed to all kinds of information as they are, to have the freedom to reason and make their own judgment, to agree and disagree, and to choose the leadership that serves the people unselfishly and non-discriminatively. It's not democracy, if the authority of a democratic country is afraid of losing power, that wants to keep in power, and will do whatever it can with the power that it has, to 'control' and 'determine' what the people know and shouldn't know, and what they agree and disagree with, in order to attain the support from the majority to keep in power.

A healthy society is made of mentally matured people who are free to agree and disagree with anything, who are free to reason everything, and free to express their thinking and opinion, while respecting everyone's freedom to have their own different opinions of agreement and disagreement towards everything based on their particular thinking and belief, without interference towards other people's different opinions, especially towards certain opinions that oneself disagrees with.

Everyone doesn't need to be determined by other people's freedom of expression and opinion, likes and dislikes, agreements and disagreements towards oneself and/or everything.

Everyone doesn't need to agree with everything, while doesn't need to feel offended by something that oneself disagreeing with, and doesn't need to be offended by other people's freedom of expression and opinion of dislike and disagreement towards oneself, or towards one's particular thinking and belief.

There will be less anger, hatred and violence, but more peace and harmony in the world of diversity, if the world is occupying by human beings that are mentally matured and open-minded, even though there will always be many disagreements among human beings about many things due to the different thinking and belief and desire.

In another term, it's called 'sportsmanship'. All the people who involve in leadership in the world should first be endowed with the quality of 'sportsmanship' before being given the power to lead a government that is supposed to be serving the people, and not about 'controlling', 'oppressing', 'punishing' and 'prosecuting' the people who express their opinion of disagreement towards certain things, while doesn't allow freedom of knowledge and reasoning by 'controlling' and 'restricting' all kinds of expression and opinion, in order to control what people know and don't know, and what people should and shouldn't think and believe, in order to get enough support to keep in power.

Peace and harmony in the world or within a country, is not achieved by 'controlling' and 'unifying' what people should and shouldn't know, and 'determining' what people should and shouldn't think and believe, under the intention of promoting peace and harmony by having less disagreements in the world, but it's by allowing all kinds of agreements and disagreements to be existing in the world as they are, while respecting everyone's freedom of expression and opinion based on everyone's different knowledge, thinking and belief, without interference or oppression towards all kinds of disagreeable expressions and opinions deriving from different thinking and beliefs, that contradict one another.

When people are living under an oppressed society, where many people are suffering from certain degrees of mental illness, and are not mentally matured or open-minded, as people are being brought up in the way of being highly defensive towards their own particular identity, and being highly sensitive and offensive towards other people's freedom of expression and opinion, where people have no freedom of expression and opinion about anything, because people would be prosecuted under specific law and orders for their freedom of expression and opinion of agreement and disagreement, where people are being forced to have certain degrees of fear and tension most of the time dealing with many highly sensitive, defensive and offensive mentally-ill people around them, then how can that society be healthy and prosper?

When people are not living under an oppressed society, where most people are free from mental illness and are mentally matured and open-minded, where people have the freedom of expression and opinion about anything, where people won't be prosecuted under the law and orders for their freedom of expression and opinion of agreement and disagreement, then people can develop the power of reasoning and can learn from each other's different knowledge and opinion about everything, and the society can grow healthily and prosper.

Even so, it's everyone's freedom if someone wants to filter it's own expression and opinion, if one thinks that is necessary, for some reasons, out of one's free-will, and not out of legal restriction under an oppressed society. Such like, people can choose not to have any intentional violence or hypocrisy in their expression of thought, action and speech. It's part of the yoga practice for having self-control and self-restraint over one's thoughts, actions and speech, to restrain the outgoing tendency of the mind, turning the mind inward for self-introspection and contemplation, to not interfering with all the names and forms being there as they are, to allow the perceived reality to be what it is, not necessarily the way that the mind would like it to be.

Everyone has the freedom to restrict and filter their own expression and opinion, or not. Everyone has the freedom of how to react towards other people's expression and opinion, but none can interfere with other people's freedom of how they want to react towards all kinds of expression and opinion. People can be highly sensitive, defensive and offensive, if that's what they want to be. It's everyone's own responsibility towards one's own action and reaction.

Inquire the truth of everything.

Everyone evolves and understands at their own pace

There's nothing to be arguing about towards the different understanding from different minds towards life existence and all the teachings and practices that we could be learning from reading, hearing and experiencing. As even what our own mind understands would be changing or evolving from time to time. It's a continuous learning and evolving process until the mind realizes the truth of impermanence and selflessness.

Everyone takes their own time to evolve and understand everything differently through different stages of practice and purification process.

It doesn't mean that we understood wrongly, even though what we understood differently on different stages wasn't completely the truth as it is before we attain the complete realization.

For the minds that have intense yearning to be free from ignorance, to realize the truth of names and forms, it might understand something differently on different stages, as one practice persistently without judgment or expectation as layer and layer of the veil of ignorance and impurities is being removed through the purification process.

It's like the eye sight. When the vision are extremely weak, the eyes are almost blind, the eyes couldn't see anything at all regardless of near and far.

If we never initiate to improve the vision by getting certain treatment or correction, then we will never see anything at all.

If we are being initiative to improve the vision by getting certain treatment or correction, then the vision can have the opportunity to become stronger after receiving certain treatment or correction. The eyes might start to see certain shape and colour of the object in front of it that are close enough and not too far, although it might not see exactly the shape and colour of the object as it is yet, but at least it sees there's something in front of it with certain shape and colour rather blurry. If one is being contented at this stage, and doesn't continue to receive further treatment or correction to improve the vision further, then it will never see the exact shape and colour of any object, and it doesn't see what is beyond what the limited vision can reach.

If the vision gets to be receiving continuous treatment or correction until the eyesight reaches perfect clear vision, then the eyes might get to see things as clear as it can see, near and far.

During the different stages of treatment and correction, the eyes see the same object differently under different degrees of vision on the different stages, and start to see objects further and further away, until the moment it starts to see the exact shape and colour of the object as it is and can see as far as the vision can reach, upon the vision is being corrected to as perfect as it can be.

We might not see the complete truth in the beginning, but as we practice, we could attain partial understanding towards the modification of the mind, or getting a glimpse of the outline of the function of the mind, through the process of removing the different layers of impurities and calming the thought current, even though it might not be as clear as what we should be seeing when the mind is completely cleared from the veil of ignorance and impurities and restlessness, but that persistent practice, purification and inquiry, allows the mind to keep inquiring towards the truth until the veil of ignorance and impurities and restlessness is completely annihilated.

And hence, there's nothing wrong with all the different understanding throughout the entire prolong process of self-transformation or mind evolution, but at least, there's persistent practice to keep purifying, disciplining and quieting the mind, to free the mind from ignorance, egoism and impurities, until it attains Self-realization, knowing Thyself.

And hence, writing a 'Sadhana' diary can also help the yoga practitioners to learn about the modification and evolution of one's mind as they practice. It's not about attaching towards the past or towards one's practice and the fruit of practice, but, it allows the mind to learn from itself by observing and studying the conditioned behavior pattern of the impure egoistic modification of the mind and through attaining all kinds of partial incomplete understanding from different stages.

The mind would see that all the partial incomplete understanding in the past is actually building up the path and leading the mind towards complete realization. There isn't anything bad or wrong in those partial incomplete understanding at all. More importantly, the continuous practice of non-attachment, non-identification, non-craving, non-aversion, non-judgment, non-comparison and non-expectation will free the mind from the great obstacle of pride and false contentment that hinders most minds from continuing evolve towards the realization of selflessness, oneness, non-separateness, attributelessness, namelessness and formlessness.

It's like seeing just the shadow of an object allows the mind to be aware of the presence of an object that is unknown to it, as it couldn't see the object directly yet due to some obstacle, but the mind will continue to strive to remove or go beyond the obstacle to see the object as it is, and not just seeing the shadow of the object. Most minds can't see anything due to the huge obstacle of deep ignorance, and are not initiated to make an effort to find out what is behind the obstacle, or to know the unknown, and even being fearful towards what is behind the obstacle, or knowing the unknown.

Without blind-believing, blind-following, blind-practicing, or blind-propagating any teachings and practice, but attaining direct experience and realization through inquiry towards the truth of everything, including all the teachings and practice of Yoga or Buddhism.

Be free.

Be open to inquire the truth of worldly thinking and belief and behavior

This teaching is for those who are interested in the practice of inquiring towards the truth of things but don't know where to begin, or have fear towards performing this teaching and practice due to contradiction with one's particular thinking and belief.

Performing inquiry towards the truth of everything, to attain self-realization towards the truth of everything, of all kinds of thinking, belief, values, practice and behavior, including all the teachings and practices of yoga and Buddhism, to know what is going on in one's mind, to free one's mind from ignorance, egoism and impurities, is the major teaching and practice in yoga and Buddhism. None should be blind-following, blind-believing, blind-practicing or blind-propagating the teachings and practice of yoga and Buddhism, but to experience and inquire all the teachings by oneself, to attain direct self-realization, as taught by all the Gurus and Buddhas.

Yoga and Buddhism's teachings and practice emphasize on self-disciplinary, self-control, self-reliance, self-inquiry and self-realization. It's purifying and disciplining and silencing one's mind. It's nothing to do with influencing, controlling, disciplining and interfering with the other minds. It teaches about all and everything are selflessly and impermanently existing and cease existing under the law of nature, cause and effect, actions and the consequences of actions.

Meanwhile, what people want to believe and practice, or not, is their freedom.

Most people have certain 'belief' or 'disbelief' about certain things, either wittingly or unwittingly, would never think of there's a need to inquire the truth of something that they believe/want to believe/being told to believe is 'true', 'right' and 'good', or 'that's the way things should or shouldn't be', and vice versa, just because that was being passed down and practiced by many other human beings, and hence, they just follow and practice unwittingly, or people themselves have chosen to adopt, follow, believe and practice wittingly.

Many people are afraid of performing inquiry towards the truth of their inherited or adopted cultural/religious/spiritual/social thinking, belief, values and practice that they have been believing in and practicing throughout their lives, as they were being told by 'some others' or 'a book that was written by somebody', that it's forbidden, sinful and punishable to question the truth of those belief, values and practice, where the believers think that there's element of insult, offensiveness and disrespectfulness towards 'someone' or 'the belief' in the act of doubting/questioning/inquiring the truth of those belief, values and practice.

There's nothing bad or wrong with human beings 'believe' that they need to have some form of 'beliefs' to live life and think in certain way, to lead them towards a certain direction or meaning in life, or else, people believe that they would be lost in life without holding onto a 'belief'. Everyone has the freedom to believe or disbelieve in something, or choosing what they want to believe or disbelieve as something 'true' or 'untrue', 'right' or 'wrong', 'good' or 'bad, and so on.

There's nothing bad or wrong either when the yoga practitioners and the Buddhism practitioners are being advised to inquire the truth of everything as the upmost essential practice.

Inquiring towards the truth of everything has to be self-initiated.

It's inquiring the truth of both belief and disbelief, values and practice that exist in one's mind, as well as upon coming in contact with some other kinds of belief and disbelief, values and practice, that influencing human being's thinking, action/reaction or behavior in the world, without judgment, without grasping, without attachment and without association.

Before one begins the inquiry towards the truth of anything, the mind needs to be opened and be purified.

If the mind is closed, this mind wouldn't be initiated to inquire the truth of what it believes or disbelieves, and what it comes in contact with, but will keep judging everything based on the existing belief and disbelief in one's mind, expecting everyone and everything to be or not to be in certain way.

If the mind is clouded by impurities, it hinders the mind from seeing the truth as it is, even if the mind is interested to inquire the truth of everything.

The closed mind will naturally grasp and judge everything that it comes in contact with (whatever the mind experiences) under the influence of a particular belief and disbelief in the mind. It reacts either with like or dislike, agreement or disagreement, praise or condemn, or unconcern, as long as it has nothing to do with 'I' and 'my life'.

While the opened mind either will witness and allow all the names and forms being there as they are, without attachment, being undetermined by the mind perception of names and forms, or will inquire the truth of everything that it comes in contact with, without the influence of any particular belief and disbelief that is already there in the mind, without judgment, grasping, attachment, or association. Regardless of what kind of names and forms that the mind perceives through the senses, the non-grasping mind that is free from the influence of any particular belief and disbelief will only see one same truth in all and everything - Selflessness and Impermanence. It's neither a belief nor disbelief. It's not a judgment, but it's just seeing the truth of all the names and forms, as they are. At the same time, the non-grasping mind allows everything being what they are, being there as they are, being impermanent and constantly changing, selflessly.

Whether something is 'true' or 'untrue', is nothing to do with what the mind thinks is belief or disbelief. Whether people believe or disbelieve that something is true or untrue, it doesn't change the truth of something being 'true' or 'untrue', but all is impermanent and selfless.

Inquiring towards the truth of everything is nothing 'insulting' or 'disrespecting' towards anything, not to say, what the mind believes as 'sinful' and 'punishable'.

Something that is really 'true' or 'pure' doesn't need to convince or force or threaten anyone to believe that it's 'true' and 'pure'. It doesn't need 'somebody' or 'some organization' or 'some authority' being there to convince or force or threaten all the others to believe that it's 'true' and 'pure'.

Something that is almighty, the one existence before, during and after everything else exist, change and cease exist, that is unlimited by time, space and causation, that is always right here right now, that is truly all compassionate, that represents the quality of 'omnipresence', 'omnipotence' and 'omniscience', or 'all-presence', 'all-powerful' and 'all-knowledge', would never be 'damaged', 'hurt', 'contaminated', 'offended', 'insulted' or 'disrespected' by anything.

How can something almighty be damaged, hurt, contaminated, offended, insulted, disrespected or belittled by certain names and forms, or react with dissatisfaction, disappointment, anger, hatred and violence? It's only the ignorant egoistic impure human minds will perceive damage, hurt, contamination, offensiveness, insult, disrespectfulness and belittling based on particular 'belief' and 'disbelief' in the mind, and react with dissatisfaction, disappointment, anger, hatred and violence upon certain names and forms that the minds judge as 'wrong' and 'bad' based on the 'belief' and 'disbelief' in the minds, that the mind think it's 'hurting', 'insulting', 'disrespecting', 'belittling' or 'contaminating' itself or the 'belief' and 'disbelief' in the mind.

Something that is almighty, true and pure doesn't need to 'prove' or 'justify' anything.

It doesn't need to 'control' or 'judge' anyone or anything to be in certain ways and not to be in certain ways.

It doesn't 'praise' or 'condemn' anyone or anything.

It doesn't need to be 'loved', be 'supported', be 'acknowledged', be 'protected', be 'glorified', be 'respected', be 'appreciated' or be 'thanked' by anyone or anything, to be what it is.

It doesn't need to be believed by anyone or anything, to be all-powerful, to be all-present, to be all-knowledge, to be what it is.

It doesn't threaten anyone with 'sin' and 'punishment' or tempt anyone with 'merit' and 'reward' about how everyone should or shouldn't think, believe, feel, act, react or behave. None need to be 'threatened by' and 'fearful towards' its presence or existence or teachings.

It wouldn't be affected, or determined, or disturbed, by all the debates, discussions, believes and disbelieves, likes and dislikes, agreements and disagreements, praise and condemn, appreciation and inappreciation, right and wrong, good and bad, positive and negative, enjoyment and painful sorrow, actions and inactions, ignorance and wisdom of the worldly beings.

All those names and forms of 'insult', 'disrespectfulness', 'belittling', 'offensiveness', 'defensiveness', 'hurt', 'control', 'judgment', 'praise', 'condemn', 'acknowledgement', 'glorification', 'protectiveness', 'threat', 'tempt', 'punishment', 'reward', 'self-righteousness' and 'self-authorization', are action/reaction and behavior existing in the world and deriving from the worldly ignorant egoistic impure human minds. It has nothing to do with the one that is almighty.

It's people's freedom to be inheriting and continue to follow and believe, or choosing to adopt, follow and believe, or not, in something or some teachings that portray or reflect such action and reaction or behavior of the ignorant egoistic impure human minds.

If there's a 'God existence', or a 'belief', or a 'teaching', that is nothing to do with the one that is almighty, because it would be offended, insulted, belittled, contaminated, hurt by 'something' or 'someone', and be angry, hating, violent, or avenge towards certain impermanent and selfless names and forms, why does anyone want to follow, believe, practice and propagate that particular 'God existence', or that particular 'belief', or that particular 'teaching', and living under great fear towards 'what they believe as the one that is almighty, but not really'?

If there is a 'God existence' of the one that is almighty, omnipresent, omnipotent and omniscient, then this almighty 'God' is there supporting all and everyone and everything to be existing as they are, non-discriminating and unconditionally, regardless of all the different qualities of name and form, thinking, belief/disbelief, values, practice, action/reaction and behavior, that all are imperfect, impermanent and selfless.

If it's the truth, the truth doesn't judge or punish anyone or anything.

If it's a great teaching, the great teaching represents and propagates unconditional love and peace.

If it's selfless compassion, it will be unconditional, non-discrimination, non-attachment, non-identification, non-judgment and non-expectation towards all and everyone and everything being what they are, as they are, and all are impermanent and selfless. Selfless compassion doesn't discriminate if someone behaves or doesn't behave like this or like that. There's neither demanding for apology nor granting of forgiveness. Everything exists, changes, affecting one another, and ceases existing, under the law of nature, cause and effect. If there's a 'God existence' that discriminates, and only will love certain type of behavior, and won't love or even will be hating certain type of behavior, that's conditional love and hate coming from ignorant egoistic impure human minds.

If there's a need to create constant fear in the minds towards not being 'qualified' or 'good' enough to be 'loved' and 'supported' by a particular 'God existence', or not being perfect enough to live up to a particular 'belief' or 'teaching', then what kind of 'God existence', 'belief, or what the mind thinks is the truth', or 'teaching' is that?

It's everyone's freedom if they want to believe in a 'God existence' that is being projected by their own minds being in certain way and how they desire it to be.

It's everyone's freedom if they want to believe in something or some teachings that would be 'hurt', 'insulted', 'offended', 'disrespected', 'contaminated', 'violent', 'angry', 'discriminating' and 'hating', and wittingly be influenced by that 'belief' to judge everything and expect certain 'respect' from all the others towards one's particular 'belief' that judge and discriminate all kinds of names and forms, inflict anger and hatred in one's mind towards certain names and forms, while expecting all the others should 'follow' and 'believe' in this 'belief', and to act/react/behave in certain way, or else, it's sinful and punishable according to that 'belief'.

It's everyone's freedom also if they want to look for something or some teachings that represents non-discriminating unconditional love and peace among all the different names and forms, that is undetermined, unaffected and undisturbed by all the imperfect names and forms in the world that are subject to impermanence and selflessness, that is void of egoistic 'hurt', 'insult', 'offensiveness', 'disrespectfulness', 'contamination', 'violence', 'anger', 'discrimination' and 'hatred', that is unconditional, unlimited, nameless, formless and attributeless, which is not a 'belief' deriving from and limited by worldly egoistic impure minds.

Even some yoga or Buddhism practitioners who think they are practicing yoga or Buddhism might not necessarily be free from the influence of a particular worldly social/cultural/religious/spiritual thinking, belief, values and practice, and be affected, disturbed and determined by what their minds perceived as 'wrong', 'bad', 'hurtful', 'disrespectful', 'insulting', 'offensive', 'belittling', or 'anger and hatred deserving'. There's nothing wrong with that. Just that, these minds are not peaceful, while 'blaming' the unpeacefulness is caused by the perceived names and forms being 'wrong', 'bad', 'hurtful', 'disrespectful', 'insulting', 'offensive', 'belittling', or 'anger and hatred deserving' based on the particular thinking, belief, values and practice in their minds. That's their freedom of thinking.

Those who think they believe in 'God existence, the one that is almighty', but would think and believe that this 'God' or its teachings would be offended, insulted, contaminated, disrespected, hurt, or damaged by certain names and forms, and this 'God' would be angry, violent, hating and punish those whom they (the human beings) believe and judge as 'wrong', 'bad', 'sinful' and 'punishable', then obviously they don't know 'God' or what 'God' is about. Those who understand, those who know, regardless of whether they have belief or disbelief about 'God existence, the one who is almighty', will not be disturbed by these minds and their behavior, neither will they judge or expect anything or anyone to be or not to be in certain way. It's mere ignorance and the consequence of ignorance.

Those who think and believe that they are loving compassionate beings, but they are being determined and disturbed by the ignorance and the consequence of ignorance of others in the world, then they don't know what compassion is about. It's neither right nor wrong. It's just that these minds who want to believe that they are loving compassionate beings, are also not free from ignorance, egoism and impurities yet.

Knowing that there are many beings in the world are not free from the egoism of attachment and identification towards many different thinking, belief, values and practice, and constantly acting/reacting and behaving in certain ways under the influence of ignorance, egoism and impurities, the wise ones don't deliberately performing actions that most minds would perceive as 'insult', 'belittling', or 'disrespectfulness', with the expectation that all beings should be wise enough to not react with the perception of being 'insulted', or 'belittled', or 'disrespected'. Everyone needs to take their own pace to evolve, to be aware of the modification of their minds, and to free their own minds from ignorance, egoism and impurities, to see the truth of things as it is, and be free from egoistic action/reaction or behavior under the influence of ignorance and impurities.

Contemplate and be free.

Know thyself. Everything is impermanent and selfless. There is no 'I'. There is no 'I am selfless'/'I am not selfless'. There is no 'I am hurt'/'I need to be healed from hurt'. Non-blind believing, non-blind following, non-blind practicing and non-blind propagating, but be open-minded to inquire the truth of everything. Be free. Be peaceful. Be happy.
