The universal consciousness (BRAHMAN) is the silent witness throughout the infinite space, that hosts and pervades all kinds of names and forms (JAGAT), of all kinds of living organisms and non-living objects, and all and everything throughout the infinite space, that gives rise to the conscious awareness to the conscious sentient living organisms to be what they are upon the state of consciousness and semi-consciousness, and that hosts and reflects all kinds of names and forms/thought current/inputs and outputs processing, that the many different individual perceptive cognitive intellectual emotional thinking and acting minds perceive and project consciously and unconsciously, voluntary and involuntary, throughout the different states of consciousness/semi-consciousness/unconsciousness.
The universal prana, is the selfless indiscriminate power of manifestation/creation (Brahma)/maintenance (Vishnu)/destruction (Shiva) throughout the infinite space, that enables all kinds of names and forms (living organisms and non-living objects and all and everything throughout the infinite space) to be manifesting, forming, existing, changing, decaying, disintegrating, decomposing, and ceased existing under the support/influence/impact of the selfless energy and different selfless elements and conditions and activities, as they are, under respective cause and pace, governed by the nature's law of cause and effect.
The names of Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva are merely referring to or symbolizing the nature's power of Impermanence (where all and everything regardless of all kinds of qualities, are all selfless, impermanent, limited, conditional, and non-self) that pervades within and without all and everything throughout all and everything, a.k.a. the power of manifestation (creation), maintenance, and destruction, governed by the nature's law of cause and effect.
These symbolical names and forms are not really 'something' that to be worshiped or prayed to. They are just what they are, the selfless idle and active power that is indiscriminate and intentionless that exists under different forms throughout the infinite space, that enables all kinds of names and forms to be manifesting, forming, existing, while ceaselessly changing/transforming/breaking down, as they are, under respective cause and pace, governed by the indiscriminate nature's law of cause and effect. But, the symbolic appearance under certain names and forms is to remind the minds that all and everything are selfless, impermanent, limited, conditional, and non-self, regardless of who or what the minds think and believe and identify as 'I', and everything that the minds think and believe as 'my' and 'mine'.
Just as Saraswati is the symbol of knowledge or wisdom. Kali is the symbol of death. Ganesha is the symbol of resilience to overcome all kinds of obstacles and difficulties in life and in the process of mind conquest. And there are many other names and forms that represent certain teachings/dhamma/practice of yoga vedanta.
The minds may or may not recites these names regularly to keep reminding themselves towards the teachings/dhamma/practice of yoga, but reciting (praying to) these names regularly doesn't change the truth of selflessness, impermanence, limitation, conditional, and non-self, and it doesn't guarantee that the mind will attain direct self realization towards the truth of itself and all kinds of names and forms, under the presence of grasping. Neither by not knowing all these names and forms, and not reciting (praying to) these names and forms at all, will hinder the mind from attaining direct self realization towards the truth of itself and all and everything that it perceives through the senses via the organs of the senses, that are all being reflected in the selfless restless modification of the mind upon the all pervading selfless universal consciousness that doesn't belong to the mind, or any mind, or anyone, or anything.
However, under the continuous chanting/reciting certain names and forms that symbolize the teachings/dhamma/practice, genuinely and regularly, may eventually lead the mind towards one-pointedness, focus, calm, and quiet to have the clarity of thinking that gives rise to the correct understanding. It is a tool for rendering the modification of the mind to be free from the veil of ignorance, under the path of devotion (Bhakti Yoga).
The selfless universal consciousness is the indiscriminate actionless silent witness throughout the infinite space, that hosts and pervades all kinds of selfless impermanent limited conditional and non-self names and forms throughout the infinite space, and the prana is the indiscriminate idle and active force/power that exists throughout the infinite space, and that enables the selfless impermanent limited conditional and non-self manifestation/formation/coming into existence/maintenance of existence/decay/disintegration/decomposition/dissolution/ceased existence of all kinds of names and forms to be happening as they are, governed by the indiscriminate nature's law of cause and effect, throughout the infinite space.
Both the selfless universal consciousness and the prana a.k.a. the force/power of manifestation (creation)/maintenance/destruction, is always there as they are, throughout the infinite space within and without all kinds of names and forms, as they are, that doesn't appear or disappear, that doesn't increase or decrease, that doesn't depart upon the death/ceased function/disintegration/decomposition/ceased existence of the names and forms.
Just as the indiscriminate selfless universal consciousness doesn't change, that doesn't appear and disappear, that doesn't increase or decrease, but the manifestation of conscious awareness in the conscious living organisms deriving from the selfless universal consciousness can be presence or absence, it is the same as the indiscriminate prana being the power of manifestation/maintenance/destruction itself doesn't change, that doesn't appear or disappear, that doesn't increase or decrease, as it exists and pervades throughout the infinite space, but the idle and active power that is manifesting/existing under many different forms in all kinds of names and forms, can be increasing or decreasing, that can be strong or weak, that can be constructive or destructive, that is transformative from one form to another form.
Life manifestation/formation, existence, growth, ceaseless maintenance of existence (hunger and thirst and exhaustion/energy depletion and replenishment), voluntary and involuntary activity and function of the living organisms, and the creation/formation/construction/production/invention/innovation, existence, maintenance of existence, involuntary activity and function of the non-living objects, as well as the decaying process, disintegrating process, the decomposing process, or the destruction/breaking down/dissolution process of both the living organisms and the non-living objects, are all happening and possible, under the presence/influence/support/impact of the prana, or the intentionless indiscriminate power of manifestation/creation/existence/ceaseless maintenance of existence/decay/disintegration/decomposition/dissolution/breaking down, where the prana exists under the different forms of idle and active transformational energy/electricity/thunder/lightning/fire/light/heat/temperature/water/air/wind/vibrations/movements/activities/elements/substances/gases/oxygen/hydrogen/carbon-dioxide/minerals/nutrients/electron/neutron/proton/neuron/atom/cell/fuel/oil/fat/protein/glucose/carbohydrate/all kinds of vegetation/gravitation/propulsion/impact/collision/explosion/natural disasters/conducive and detrimental conditions and situations/reproductive activities/thought current/thinking/concentration/action/reaction/possessing/hoarding/grasping/desiring/planning/plotting/and etc.
All these transformational different types of energy/elements/conditions/activities might be present or absent, can be available or non-available, can be increasing or decreasing, under the influence of the existing different conditions, situations, or activities.
It requires energy/effort/activity to create and maintain and destroy anything and everything (living organisms and non-living objects, and all and everything and activities, throughout the infinite space), while the consumption/exertion/execution of all those energy/effort/activity will also generate/transform into some other type of energy under different forms (idle or active).
Even after the death/ceased function of any living organisms and non-living objects, the lifeless and non-functional physical structure of the living organisms and non-living objects is still requiring the presence of energy to be breaking down as well as can be transformed into some other form of energy to be consumed by some other names and forms for manifestation/formation/growth/maintenance/decay/disintegration/decomposition. Such as burning the dead body with fire, where the burning process generates certain amount of energy/heat/light, or the dead body could be eaten by some other living organisms that turn into energy for their growth and maintenance.
That's why upon death, the body is lifeless and all kinds of mechanisms/systems/components/organs are non-functional/ceased functioning, including the mechanism of the mind, where the conscious awareness and modification/thought current of the mind is completely absent, but the all pervading selfless universal consciousness and the prana that doesn't belong to anyone or anything, doesn't depart. They are always there and everywhere pervading within and without all kinds of names and forms (regardless of alive or lifeless, functional or non-functional/ceased functioning) throughout the infinite space, as they are.
Analogy - The one same projector screen in any particular cinema (part of the worldly selfless, impermanent, limited, conditional, and non-self existence and function of name and form that has a limited duration of existence), that hosts and reflects the projection of countless different movies contents made by the countless different individual movies creators/manifesters/makers creating/manifesting/making the countless different movies of different contents, that either can be projected by the one same projector, or by the different projectors, where all these selfless impermanent limited conditional and non-self names and forms require the presence/availability of energy and different elements and conditions for them to be existing and operating and happening as what they are - A cinema. A projector screen. A projector. A movie. Regardless of the presence or absence of audience/movie watcher.
The infinite space represents the cinema where everything about a movie screening is happening, although the cinema is impermanent, limited, conditional, and non-self (Destructible), while the infinite space is permanent, unlimited, unconditional, and neither self nor non-self (Indestructible).
The all pervading attributeless nameless formless timeless changeless actionless intentionless infinite selfless universal consciousness represents 'the projector screen', although the worldly name and form of a projector screen in the cinema is impermanent, limited, conditional, and non-self, that will change, decay, disintegrate, and decompose (breaking down), while the selfless universal consciousness is the infinite permanent independent unlimited unconditional non-manifested attributeless nameless formless projector screen throughout the infinite space, where all kinds of names and forms ceaselessly arising, changing, and passing away upon the selfless universal consciousness throughout the infinite space, under respective cause and pace, governed by the nature's law of cause and effect.
The countless individual perceptive cognitive intellectual emotional thinking and acting minds of the countless different individual living organisms represent the countless different individual movie projectors, that cannot exist or function as what they are, if without the selfless supportive energy and the different elements and conditions.
The countless individual perceptive cognitive intellectual emotional thinking and acting minds of the countless different individual living organisms also represent the audiences/perceivers/movie watchers.
As the different selfless mechanisms of the mind is what enables the mind to project thought current or to process inputs and outputs (modification of the mind), as well as that enables the mind to have the function of perception/cognition/intellectual reasoning/emotional response to be perceiving names and forms via the senses through the organs of the senses, and to perform action/speech/expression via the organs of action and speech/expression.
The countless different individual causes and effects represent the countless different individual voluntary and involuntary or conscious and non-conscious creators/manifesters/makers of the many different contents of the different movies, as they are, in certain away and not in certain way.
All kinds of selfless impermanent limited conditional and non-self names and forms that manifested, existing, changing, decaying, disintegrating, decomposing, breaking down, or ceased functioning and existing, as they are, throughout the infinite space, under different qualities/matters/substances/elements/conditions/situations/atmospheres, of countless mobile and immobile living organisms and non-living objects, names, forms, sights, shapes, sizes, colours, sounds, smells, tastes, sensations, textures, consistencies, activities, affairs, happenings, energy, electricity, gravitation, thunder/lightning, movements, light, shadow, liquid, water, air, gases, wind, earth, soil, rock, minerals, nutrients, vegetation, moisture, humidity, dryness, temperature, heat and cold, cloud formation, ice and snow formation, universe, galaxies, suns, stars, moons, planets, climates, physical structures, organs, senses, systems, atoms, cells, electrons, neutrons, protons, neurons, energy, voluntary and involuntary/conscious and non-conscious thought currents, cognition, recognition, reason, ideas, thoughts, feelings, emotions, desires and don't desires, memories recollections, wild imaginations, anticipations, inputs and outputs processing, construction of dreams, wishful thinking, day dreaming, building castle in the air, survival instinct, involuntary urges, voluntary intentions, inspirations, aspirations, ambitions, visions, beliefs, justifications, stories making and telling, values, all kinds of impurities and restlessness, countless different states of mind, countless different experiences, interactions, communications, ties and connections, and etc, represent the different contents of the countless different movies.
None and nothing can exist, not to say, to function as what they are, if without the existence/manifestation/transformation of energy, deriving from the all pervading prana, or the power of manifestation/creation/maintenance/destruction, that exists and transforms under different forms selflessly and indiscriminately, that exists throughout the infinite space, transforming within and without all kinds of names and forms.
Such as the petrol, or gas, or electricity needed to be breaking down or transformed in order to power and move the vehicle, while the movements of the vehicle can generates energy/electricity to power itself or something else, to be reserved, or to be consumed, or to be transformed into something else.
Such as food and oxygen needed to be breaking down (destruction) in order to be transformed into energy to fuel the physical body for life maintenance (maintenance) and activities, while those physical activities can create and be transformed into something else (creation).
Such as one needs to consume energy in order to exert energy to do something, or to create something, where that something also has the potential involuntary power to transform something else, or to be transformed into something else, such as one needs energy to make a knife, and the knife can become the intentionless involuntary tool to cut something, being the medium that transforms that something into another form of energy. Upon the ceased function of the knife, the knife can be transformed into another form of energy.
The indiscriminate prana a.k.a. the indiscriminate power of manifestation/creation/existence/maintenance of existence/decay/disintegration/decomposition/dissolution/breaking down represents the transformation of energy manifesting and transforming under countless different forms, that enables the manifestation/creations/existence/ceaseless maintenance/changes/decay/disintegration/decomposition/ceased function/ceased existence of the countless names and forms to be existing and functioning, ceaselessly changing, decaying, disintegrating, decomposing, ceased function, and ceased existing as what they are (the different contents of the different movies), that enables the countless individual projectors as well as audiences/perceivers/movie watchers to be existing and functioning as what they are, and that enables the countless different movies contents to be projected/manifested upon the projector screen via the projector, and being viewed/watched/experienced/perceived by the audiences/perceivers/movies watchers.
Such as a fruit tree can gives shades/home/leaves/flowers/nectar/fruits/food/energy to some other living organisms, where the growth and maintenance, and the flowering, nectar producing, and fruiting of the fruit tree requires energy, as well as can be transformed into woods or branches that can be burn to generate heat and light, or to create some other things. The prana continuously existing in all forms and pervades anywhere and everywhere.
All kinds of names and forms are impermanent and transformative throughout the duration of impermanent existence and function as well as upon ceased function and existence, however, there is no existence of any permanent independent infinite immortal individual self identity/existence/consciousness/spirit/soul existing in the names and forms to be undergoing ceaseless selfless and non-self impermanent changes and transformation.
The conscious awareness deriving from the selfless actionless intentionless universal consciousness, is what enables the audiences/the perceivers (the conscious sentient living organisms under the presence of the perceptive cognitive intellectual emotional thinking and acting faculty/mind) to be aware of, or perceiving, or watching the movies (the conscious mind perception of a worldly selfless impermanent limited conditional and non-self momentary mortal life existence of diverse impermanent names and forms, that is being reflected upon the selfless universal consciousness - the impermanent restless modification/state of mind, a.k.a. the impermanent restless thought current/process/activities of the mind) that are being projected upon the projector screen.
Just as the internet connection (the medium between the internet provider/server and the receiver/user of internet, it also requires some form of energy (electricity) and other elements for that to be happening, either through cable wiring plug-in or radio wave connection to generate such connectivity. The conscious awareness deriving from the selfless universal consciousness, is the selfless indiscriminate medium that enables the mind that is existing and functioning to be conscious or aware of the existence and function of itself and the internal and external surrounding environment for maximal survival, upon the state of consciousness and semi-consciousness.
The audiences/the perceivers can be 'ignorantly'/'naturally'/'spontaneously' associating with and grasping unto while be affected/determined/influenced/disturbed/pleased/displeased/satisfied/dissatisfied/happy/unhappy/elevated/depressed by the contents of the movies, or the audiences can be non-associating with and non-grasping unto and be unaffected/undetermined/uninfluenced/undisturbed by the contents of the movies, depending on the presence and absence of correct understanding.
The 'movies' or 'the projected/reflected intentional or non-intentional and voluntary or non-voluntary contents on the screen' can be 'prerecorded fixed contents' or it can be 'live streaming random contents including random wild imaginations that are all happening in NOW as they are'.
The modification of the mind is a mixture of memories flashback/wild imaginations/anticipations on top of all kinds of random voluntary and involuntary ideas, thoughts, feelings, emotions, desires, urges, inspirations, aspirations, inputs and outputs processing, actions, or reactions, that ceaselessly arising, changing, and passing away in NOW, that is constantly changing.
The yoga and/or buddhism practice of mind conquest, is about developing and attaining the correct understanding, where the projector/the audience/the perceiver standing as the silent witness witnessing all these reflection/projection/perception/cognition/modification of the mind/thought current/physical and mental activities/physical and mental inputs and outputs processing, without association or grasping, not being affected/determined/influenced/disturbed/pleased/displeased/satisfied/dissatisfied/happy/unhappy/elevated/depressed by all THAT that are all selfless, impermanent, limited, conditional, and non-self (renunciation and dispassion and indifference and desirelessness devoid of craving and aversion).
Just as the different contents of the movies don't and cannot affect the projector, or the projector screen, or the energy (electricity), or the cinema, or the audiences/movie watchers/perceivers that enabling all THAT to be happening, to be existing and functioning as what they are. Although, during the process of making the movies, or during the process of screening the movies, or during the process of watching the movies, there might be some consequences deriving from such activities.
Somehow, under the absence of correct understanding, or under the presence of the veil of ignorance, the audiences/the perceivers think and believe and understand that the contents of the movies have the power to be affecting/determining/influencing/disturbing them. It doesn't, but it is the grasping/association/attachment/identification/desire of craving and aversion/judgment/expectation/satisfaction and dissatisfaction/agreement and disagreement/like and dislike towards the contents of the movies, that is why the minds think and believe that they are being affected/determined/influenced/disturbed/elevated and depressed/happy or unhappy/satisfied and dissatisfied, and so on, by the contents of the movies being what they are.
Even if under the absence of grasping, but all kinds of inputs are still there as there are, being perceived through the senses via the organs of the senses, under the presence or absence of conscious awareness, where there is ceaseless random inputs processing and outputs responding happening in the mind. Such as after watching a horror and violent movie, there will be construction of bad dreams/involuntary inputs and outputs processing in the modification of the mind, during sleep throughout the state of semi-consciousness (presence of semi-awareness being aware of the voluntary and involuntary thought current) and unconsciousness (absence of awareness being unaware of the involuntary though current). That is why the highly importance of the observation of renunciation and dispassion, and the practice of silence in solitude and seclusion for rendering the mind calm and quiet, effectively and practically.
Under the absence of conscious awareness, upon the state of unconsciousness/deep sleep/coma, or upon ceased function and existence, the world doesn't exist or ceased existing for the mind that is non-conscious, or ceased function, even though all kinds of names and forms are still ceaselessly happening and changing as they are throughout the infinite space upon the selfless universal consciousness that is always there as it is.
