It's the freedom of the mind to be what it is and what it is not

Freedom and responsibility (actions and consequences of actions) are the two sides of a coin.

Most minds want to have freedom of everything, but they don't want to have the responsibility that comes along with the freedom of something or everything.

Most minds think and believe that responsibility is what makes them not free.

For them, responsibility is the opposite of freedom.

But in reality, freedom and responsibility (actions will give rise to the consequences of actions) cannot exist without one another.

If the mind appreciates and desires the freedom of everything, it cannot avoid the responsibility to be responsible towards the consequences of action that are not necessarily pleasant, desirable, agreeable, or enjoyable, even if the mind thinks and believes that its freedom of everything is something good, right, positive, and meaningful, based on the existing thinking and belief and values in the mind about what is good, right, positive, and meaningful.

By understanding that, one will know that responsibility is not the cause of "the absence or lack of freedom".

It is the presence of aversion, or rejection, or doesn't desire, or fear, towards the responsibility towards the unknown, especially towards the undesirable/unpleasant/disagreeable/non-enjoyable consequences that is what making them 'not free', while they have all the freedom to be what they want to be, to do what they want to do, to go where they want to go, to be at where they want to be at, to think what they want to think, to feel what they want to feel, to act and react in the way that they want to act and react, and to express or say what they want to express or say, even if out of ignorance and egoism, there are more and more man made egoistic rules and regulations that restrict the many types of freedom in this world that doesn't belong to anyone or anything, which that itself, has certain consequences that are not conducive for promoting more peace and harmony in the world, but are responsible for the rise of more and more disturbed and suffering minds in the world, that give rise to all kinds of destructive harmful action/reaction/behavior inflicted unto oneself and/or others within the family, in the relationship, in the community, in school, in work place, in business, in all kinds of organization, in all kinds of affair, dealing, communication, and interaction, and in the world.

What the mind wants to think or doesn't think, feel or doesn't feel, understand or doesn't understand, desire or doesn't desire, act and react or doesn't act and react, in certain way, or not in certain way, it is its own choice and freedom, as well as it is its own responsibility to be responsible for all its choices, desires and doesn't desires, action and inaction, and the consequences of all that.

What the mind wants to do with itself, the body, and the life existence, is its own choice and freedom, as well as it is its own responsibility.

Even though the selfless impermanent limited and conditional existence and function of the selfless perceptive cognitive intellectual emotional thinking and acting mind doesn't even belong to itself (the truth of non-self and selflessness), not to say, the selfless impermanent limited and conditional physical body that is made up of many different components and life maintenance supporting systems, or the selfless impermanent limited and conditional life existence of the body and mind, that is full of unpredictable uncertainties (the truth of non-self, selflessness, impermanence, limitation, and conditional), that doesn't belong to the selfless thinking and acting mind, that are momentary, that only exist for a limited duration, under the selfless support of the selfless intentionless energy and elements to be existing and functioning, and there are ceaseless selfless impermanent changes of decay and disintegration that are inevitable, but what and how the selfless thinking and acting mind chooses to do with the selfless existence and function of itself, the body, and the life existence, it is its own choice and freedom.

None can tell the mind how it should think or doesn't think, feel or doesn't feel, understand or doesn't understand, desire or doesn't desire, act and react or doesn't act and react, in certain way, or not in certain way.

None and nothing can tell the mind what or how it should do with itself, the body, and the life existence. Not even the selfless intentionless energy and elements that give and support and maintain the life existence and function of the body and mind, not to say, the parents, the guardian, the best friend, the partner, the children, the teacher, the leader, the scientist, the philosopher, the bully, or the authority of any kind.

Even though the thinking and acting mind itself is non-self and selfless, depending on the selfless support of the selfless energy and elements to be existing and functioning, and even though the selfless impermanent limited and conditional physical body and life existence is non-self (doesn't belong to the selfless thinking and acting mind), that is not in the control of the thinking and acting faculty to control them to be exactly the way that the thinking and acting mind would like and desire it to be, but the choices of the thinking and acting mind of what it wants to do with itself, the body, and the life existence, is affecting and influencing its own selfless existence and function, the over-all condition and well-being of the body, and the life existence to be and to evolve in certain way, or not in certain way.

Even though there is no independent self existence of an infinite 'I' existing in the selfless thinking and acting mind, the body, or the life existence of the body and mind, to be undergoing selfless impermanent changes of forming, existing, decaying, disintegrating, and ceased existing, or to be responsible for the selfless action and consequences of action being generated and performed by the selfless thinking and acting mind via the organs of action of the physical body in the momentary life existence, but the selfless thinking and acting mind is indeed responsible for its choices of action that give rise to the consequences of action, that are being generated in accordance to its own conscious choice, of desires and doesn't desires, that are affecting and influencing the impermanent evolution/changes and the impermanent condition of the selfless existence and function of itself, the over-all condition and well-being of the physical body, and the momentary life existence in certain way or not in certain way.

The thinking and acting faculty that is being over-powered by the restless impure egoistic modification of the mind as well as under the influence of the selfless intentionless survival instinct, might be hurting the different functions of the physical body and the different functions of the mind, abusing and straining the different bodily structures, functions, organs, and systems, forcing/pushing the body and mind beyond its limitation in order to gratify the endless and boundless greedy desires/ambitions of the thinking and acting faculty, either wittingly or unwittingly, thinking and believing that all kinds of achievements might maximize its chances of survival to prolonged its life existence and to enjoy pleasurable enjoyments to the maximum.

All kinds of action and the respective consequences of action being generated by each selfless mind, also affecting and influencing all and everyone and everything in the surrounding environment in certain way or not in certain way.

If the minds are free from ignorance, if the minds are wise, kind, and peaceful, there is no aversion/rejection/doesn't desire/fear towards any kind of responsibility.

The existence of man made egoistic rules and regulations of all kinds of 'threatening punishment' cannot restrict or control the freedom of each mind being what they are, and to evolve as they are. Man made egoistic rules and regulations is completely powerless under the selfless power of nature, under the nature's law of cause and effect.

Under the influence of ignorance and its by-products, devoid of correct understanding, kindness, and peace, the thinking and acting mind might be generating ideas, desires, actions, reactions, or behavior that is hurtful unto itself and/or others and the surrounding environment, either intentionally or unintentionally.

Devoid of ignorance and its by-products, under the presence of correct understanding (wisdom), kindness (compassion), and peace (the absence of disturbance, restlessness, or suffering), the thinking and acting mind doesn't generate ideas, desires, actions, reactions, or behaviors that is hurtful unto itself or others and the surrounding environment.

That is why the highest duty of all minds, is to be free from ignorance, to attain self realization.

There is no need of rules and regulations to control or restrict the freedom of anything and everything, as that doesn't really stop the minds to behave the way that they behave, but it will only causing more and more minds loosing their sanity or mental health due to being restricted to be what they are, as they are.

It is about tackling the root cause of destructive hurtful ideas, desires, actions, reactions, and behaviors, which is about coming from the thinking and acting faculty itself, out of its own freewill, and not being forced, or disciplined, or restricted by some others or by some punishable rules and regulations, but willingly to free itself from being over-powered and influenced by the restless egoistic impure modification of the mind, and then, work diligently by itself to annihilate the idea of 'I', egoism, impurities, and restlessness from the modification of the mind (purifying and quieting the modification of the mind), and thus, removing the veil of ignorance, that enables the thinking and acting faculty to see the truth itself, of knowing Thyself, and this liberated thinking and acting faculty that is devoid of ignorance, will stop hurting itself and others or the surrounding environment, under the presence of correct understanding, kindness, and peace.

In the yoga class, while learning and practicing the yoga asana practice, pranayama practice, and concentration practice, the yoga students are indeed learning to take full responsibility for themselves, to be responsible towards looking after their own body and mind and life existence, their own physical and mental well-being, their own desires and don't desires/actions/reactions/behaviors/decision making and the consequences of their desires and don't desires/actions/reactions/behaviors/decision making.

The mind that can take responsibility as it is, they can fully enjoy their freedom of everything, and be responsible for the consequences of their freedom of everything, as it is.

The mind is not free, it's because of fear. Fear of losing what they like and want, fear of not getting what they like and want, and fear of getting what they don't like and don't want (being the slave of the desire of craving and aversion).

Inquire the truth of everything.

Is it possible to be free from ignorance and suffering?

If the selfless mind is having this doubt and asking this question, then it indicates that, it has -

The selfless consciousness/awareness (to be conscious/aware),

The selfless function of the perception (to perceive/experience),

Cognition and memory (to know and to remember knowledge),

Intellect (to doubt, investigate, inquire, learn, recognize, reason, and understand),

Emotion (to enjoy or suffer),

Thinking and acting (to process inputs and outputs, to attach or doesn't attach, to hold on or let go, to associate or doesn't associate, to make choices, to desire or doesn't desire, to believe or doesn't believe, to agree or doesn't agree, to give/take/accept or doesn't give/take/accept, to perform action (express, respond, act and react) and inaction (doesn't express, respond, act and react), to internalize or externalize (gathering/channeling the focus/attentiveness/awareness/energy inward or outward), to improve or deteriorate selfless evolution/changes,

The organs of the senses and the function of the senses (for the thinking and acting faculty to perceive/experience/learn/know towards what is happening inside and outside of the body/receiving inputs),

And the organs of expression/action (for it to have the physical mobility to express ideas/agreements/disagreements/desires/doesn't desires/feelings/emotions in speech or gesture of the body/facial features/limbs/hands/feet to be communicating and interacting, and to survive/live/adjust/adapt/accommodate/move/act/react/create/develop different skills/improve/strengthen/defense with the physical body, and turning/externalizing/materializing the mental thoughts/ideas/feelings/desires/understanding/choices into physical action and inaction (giving outputs), that will give rise to the respective consequences/effects/fruits of action and inaction.

As long as there is the thinking and acting faculty existing and functioning as what it is, to be aware/conscious, to perceive, to experience, to think, to feel, to doubt, to learn, to reason, to inquire, to recognize, and to understand, and it has certain degrees of remembrance towards what it has been perceiving, experiencing, thinking, feeling, doubting, learning, reasoning, inquiring, recognizing, and understanding,

Where the mind perceives doubt, the unknown, duality, impermanent changes, hunger, thirst, discomfort, pain, sorrow, restlessness, exhaustion, limitation, weakness, uncertainty, insecurity, fear, disturbance, and suffering,

Where the mind has the yearning or desire (willpower and determination) to be free, to know and understand, to be happy, and to have peace,

Then this mind has the opportunity and possibility to evolve towards the annihilation of the veil of ignorance/the idea of 'I'/egoism/impurities/restlessness, or the subjugation of the restless impure egoistic selfless modification of the mind, or the attainment of self-realization towards the absolute knowledge of the infinite wisdom and compassion of nature, and be free, be happy, and be peaceful, under the presence of intense yearning towards liberation/freedom/peace, right method, right effort, right attentiveness, right attitude, self-reliance, openness, adaptability, patience, forbearance, perseverance, and determination.

The path of yoga and/or buddhism exists for the selfless thinking and acting mind that perceives inevitable suffering (due to the inevitable selfless impermanent changes) and evitable suffering (deriving from ignorance, the idea of 'I', egoism, impurities, and restlessness in the selfless modification of the mind that hinders the mind from seeing/knowing the truth of the selfless impermanent limited conditional life existence and function of itself).

The direct realization towards the truth of selflessness and impermanence enables the selfless thinking and acting faculty to transcend both inevitable and evitable suffering, not being over-powered, determined, or disturbed by the inevitable selfless impermanent changes, and devoid of ignorance and the evitable suffering deriving from ignorance.

Different minds with different personalities and characteristics can choose from the different types of practices of yoga and/or buddhism that suits oneself most. There is neither this type of practice nor that type of practice is more or less superior or effective.

Even a very weak and ill physical body also can practice and attain liberation.

Even the most violent or restless mind also can practice and attain liberation.

But it has to come from the desire or freewill of the mind itself, to be purifying and disciplining and quieting the restless impure egoistic modification of the mind, to change its own thinking and behavior pattern, to be determined to free itself from the influence of ignorance, to inquire the truth of everything, to attain self realization of knowing Thyself, all by itself, without violence.

Regardless of what type of practice, it is all about rendering the selfless impermanent modification of the mind to be clear, pure, calm, and quiet, a.k.a. the annihilation of the veil of ignorance, the idea of 'I', egoism, impurities, and restlessness, via the middle path, under the presence of non-violence/non-grasping/non-attachment/non-identification/non-association/non-craving/non-aversion/non-comparison/non-judgment/non-expectation towards the entire process and the pleasant and unpleasant side-effects of the process.

The knowledge of the wisdom and compassion of nature, that enables all and everything to be existing, changing, and ceased existing, is always there, as it is, in all and everything, never increase or decrease, uncontaminated/unchanged/undamaged/unhurt by the ability or disability/the functionality or non-functionality/the good or bad condition of the physical body and the thinking and acting faculty, of the perceived or doesn't perceive, experience or doesn't experience, the different degrees of intelligence, the corrupted or non-corrupted reasoning, known or unknown, understanding or non-understanding, correct or incorrect understanding, recognize or doesn't recognize, remember or doesn't remember, action/reaction or non-action/reaction, and desire or doesn't desire of the selfless thinking and acting faculty, as well as the state of purity or impurity, calmness or restlessness, pleasantness or unpleasantness, agreements or disagreements, goodness or evilness, rightfulness or wrongfulness, enjoyment or suffering, joyfulness or joylessness, positiveness or negativeness, selfishness or unselfishness, kindness or unkindness, meaningfulness or meaninglessness, and the presence or absence of corruption and impurities in the selfless impermanent modification of the mind.

Non-blind believing, non-blind following, non-blind practicing, non-blind agreeing/disagreeing, and non-blind propagating.

None can remove the ignorance or suffering for another.

None can give realization or liberation to another.

None and nothing can destroy the wisdom, compassion, and peace that exists in all and everyone, or take away all that from another. Even the thickest veil of ignorance and the highest amount of suffering also cannot destroy the wisdom, compassion, and peace that is always there, as it is.

It is absolutely possible to be free from ignorance and suffering.

Inquire the truth of everything.

The bully and its bullying

Bullying is a form of mental illness.

The bully is a person or a mind that is suffering from mental illness.

Not all forms of mental illness are violent, hurtful, or destructive, but the mental illness of bullying is violent, hurtful, and destructive unto oneself and others.

Bully and bullying exists in anywhere and everywhere. In the family, among spouses, among parents and children, among siblings, among relatives. In the community, among friends, among lovers, among schoolmates, among classmates, among teachers and students, among businesses, among bosses and bosses, among employers and employees, among colleagues, among neighbours, among countries, among leaders and leaders, among leaders and followers, among human beings, among human beings and other living beings, among all and everyone that are existing and functioning under the influence of a restless impure modification of the mind. It is the by-products of ignorance, the idea of 'I', egoism, impurities, and restlessness in the modification of the mind.

The bully has endless and boundless desires waiting to be gratified and fulfilled, and it wants to gratify and fulfill all its endless and boundless desires via bullying/threatening/manipulating/exploiting the others.

The bully thinks and believes that itself is more intelligent than many others. But unfortunately, they are not, because if they are intelligent, they won't be what they are (a bully), and behave as they are (bullying others).

It thinks and believes that itself is the one in power to be juggling/controlling/influencing/manipulating the others to act/react/behave or don't act/react/behave in certain way that it desires, that will make all its desires come true.

The minds that are wise (not necessarily intelligent), they won't try to juggle/control/influence/manipulate/bully/threaten anyone or anything to be or not to be in certain way. If they want, they can even help the others to develop sufficient knowledge or correct understanding that will help to unveil the wisdom within all and everyone. Highly intelligent and the accumulation of worldly knowledge doesn't necessarily mean that the mind is wise, or the wisdom within a.k.a. the knowledge of life existence, is unveiled to the mind.

Out of ignorance, the ones that were/are being bullied by some others in certain way, they might think and believe that in order to stop being the victim of a bully, is to become a bully themselves, that they think and believe it will make them feel strong and powerful, which doesn't work, because that will only be exposing the ignorance, low self-esteem, inferiority, insufficiency, fear, and weakness (powerlessness) in themselves. It doesn't make the sense of low self-esteem, inferiority, insufficiency, fear, or powerlessness in them to disappear. It doesn't really make them strong and powerful.

Even the most 'powerful' person in the world will still be troubling by the sense of low self-esteem, inferiority, insufficiency, fear, or powerlessness in them, if they haven't attained self-realization towards the wisdom within.

Those who have attained self-realization towards the wisdom within, they don't need to 'be powerful', they are powerful, selflessly, intentionlessly, desirelessly, namelessly, and formlessly. And that selfless power of wisdom and compassion, doesn't threaten, or control, or manipulate anyone or anything to be in certain way that is desirable and agreeable, but the mind is peaceful as it is, unconditionally.

The person becomes a bully, or the bully is existing, through bullying and threatening the others.

A bully is also a manipulator. Through manipulating and threatening others, it gains the power of bullying, to become a bully.

"Give me what I want, or else, I will punish you, and you will be in painful suffering. All I want is for you to be good and happy. I want you to be happy. If you make me happy, and you will also be happy. Be nice to me, and I will be nice to you. If not, I will make you suffer. You just need to do what I want you to do and give me what I want, and I will be good and you will be good too, and there will be no punishment, and there will be no painful suffering. Everyone is good and happy." - The common statement of any kind of bully.

The bully manipulates the others to think and believe that they are weak and dependent, and that they need to depend on it (not someone and/or something else), no matter what and how.

The survival of a bully is coming from bullying/manipulating/threatening "some others". If there is nobody being there to be engaging with the bully, then the bully and its bullying has no "target" to aim at, in order to be what they are.

The power of bullying or manipulation of the bully/manipulator is being given and empowered by the others whom themselves ignorantly/willingly to give in or surrender to the desires or the threats/bullying/manipulations of the bully/manipulator.

If all and everyone just stop thinking and believing that themselves are weak and dependent, that they can never be strong and independent as being told by the bully/manipulator, where they realize that they are weak and dependent is because they were/are being bullied/threatened/manipulated by the bully/manipulator to think and believe that they are weak and dependent, and hence, they (can) stop gratifying the desires (not giving in or surrender to the threats) of the bully/manipulator, then the bully/manipulator will loose its power to bully and manipulate anyone or anything.

The bully or the manipulator, as well as the exploiter, cannot exist or cannot have the power to be what they are, if they are no others being there to be engaging with them, being the ones that are being bullied, or manipulated, or exploited by them.

Even if someone is really physically/mentally/financially weak, and needed to be dependent on some others to survive, it doesn't need to and shouldn't be dependent on someone who is a bully. It can look out for and depend on some others who are not a bully, but with kindness and wisdom, who don't need to be a bully to be bullying others in order to gratify their desires. There are many others who are not a bully, who don't need to survive or to be 'superior, strong, and powerful' by bullying others.

To stop the existence of any kind of bully and bullying, all and everyone just need to stop giving in to or gratifying the desires of the bully, that stops empowering the bully and its bullying, and eventually, the bully will no longer have the power of bullying to bully anyone or anything.

Once give in, it will be more difficult to be free from the bully and its bullying. Because upon each time giving in, it will be empowering the bully and its bullying. The bullying will never come to an end, not until the bully looses the power of bullying that is empowered by those who give in to the desires/bullying/threats/manipulations/exploitation of the bully.

Want to stop any kind of bully and its bullying? Then stop empowering all that.

Stop engaging with the bully.

Stop negotiating with the bully.

Leave the bully to be by itself, to be engaging and negotiating with itself.

No doubt that, the bully and its bullying has certain power being given, powered, and empowered by those who give in to the bully and its bullying.

But the selfless wisdom and compassion of nature, that exists in all and everyone, and the nature's law of cause and effect, is even more powerful.

Many people might think and believe that the bully is fearless, that is why it is a bully that bullies others, but actually, it's the exact contrary. Those who are fearless don't need to bully anyone or anything, not to say, to be bullied by someone or something. Both the bully and the bullied are all acting/reacting/behaving under the presence of fear.

Most people (except the ones that are selfish, ignorant, greedy, violent, and destructive) want to be living under a peaceful and harmonious living environment that is conducive for enjoying either a comfortable life existence all by oneself, or have a pleasant relationship and interaction with all the others in the surrounding environment. By inflicting violent, hurtful, and destructive action/reaction/behavior unto others and the surrounding environment will only destroy the peaceful and harmonious living environment, where all and everyone, including those who inflict violent, hurtful, and destructive action/reaction/behavior unto others and the surrounding environment, won't be able to survive or make a living, not to say, to be enjoying either a comfortable life existence all by oneself, or have a pleasant relationship and interaction with all the others in the surrounding environment.

The difference between a mind that wants (needs) to bully others and a mind that doesn't need to bully anyone or anything -

The mind that doesn't bully, knows and understands what the bully doesn't know and doesn't understand. No matter how much 'power' and 'control' that the bully thinks and believes that it has, that comes from bullying/threatening/manipulating/oppressing/exploiting/punishing/hurting the others, it is always being in a state of inferiority than those who don't need to bully anyone or anything, because there is something that it doesn't know and doesn't understand, that many others know and understand.

The more the mind wants to be more superior or powerful than the others, the more inferior and powerless is the mind than all the others.

If you think you are a victim of a bully, you just need to know that you are, and will always be, more superior and powerful than the bully, without the need of being a bully yourself. All you need to do is, not accepting the bullying, and walk away, and leave the bully by itself.

The bully will beg you and everyone that it bullies, "Please come back, and let me bully you. I love you. I will always love you. Please come back. I need you to be here for me to be a bully. If everyone leaves me, there is nobody here for me to bully."

Controlling others is not self control.

Discipline/punish others is not self discipline.

It is harmful and destructive in the intention and action of controlling and disciplining others.

It is beneficial and constructive in the intention and action of self control and self discipline.

And more importantly, self discipline is not about self punishment or be disciplined/punished by others.

Self discipline is about coming from the selfless thinking and acting faculty (the selfless mind) itself, out of its own desire or freewill, to be purifying, filtering, and quieting its own restless impure egoistic modification of the mind, a.k.a. removing/annihilating the veil of ignorance that is veiling the existing absolute knowledge of the selfless impermanent limited and conditional life existence, and hence, enabling the selfless thinking and acting faculty to be knowing/realizing the selfless intentionless attributeless timeless unlimited and unconditional wisdom and compassion (the selfless intentionless power of nature that enables all and everything to be forming/existing, changing, decaying and disintegrating/ceased existing), that is always there, within the selfless impermanent limited and conditional existence and function of the selfless perceptive cognitive intellectual emotional thinking and acting faculty of the selfless physical body, where all these names and forms are selfless, impermanent, limited, and conditional, that only exists for a momentary duration in this infinite space that doesn't belong to anyone or anything.

There is no violence, or hurtful action/reaction/behavior unto oneself or others in self discipline.

Inquire towards the truth of everything.

How to be free from the sense of pride and superiority

The minds that are devoid of the sense of pride and superiority, they don't need to be free from pride and superiority.

The minds that have the sense of pride and superiority, most probably they enjoy very much being prideful and are enjoying the superior status, and won't be interested in letting go the sense of pride and superiority.

"To be free from the sense of pride and superiority? Why? Is that even a thing that exists? Everyone works so hard and wants to be able to be qualified and deserving to be prideful about their physical and mental quality and ability and all kinds of achievements and possessions, that give them the status of superiority, and be able to boast or glorify about the qualities, abilities, achievements, and possessions that they have, that give them the sense of pride and superiority, that make them feel strong and powerful."

Just like the minds that enjoy making unlimited money and hoarding unlimited wealth and possessions, most probably they won't be interested in letting go greed, or endless dissatisfaction or discontentment, and hoarding/possessiveness.

Unless they experience something impactful in life, where they realize that there are certain things that they want so much, but they can't get, or buy, or in exchange with the total amount of ability, wealth, possession, and power that they have, that will make them rethink or reflect about themselves or about life existence.

Upon coming in contact with certain impactful experience, or intense physical/mental/emotional painful suffering, where their own physical body is no longer in their command to perform even the simplest task, the minds that are prideful about their superior status might rethink and reflect about the uselessness or powerlessness of the sense of pride and the superior status, as no matter how prideful and superior that they think they are, they are just like all and everyone else, where all and everyone cannot escape the inevitable limitation of selfless impermanent changes of decay, hunger, thirst, restless maintenance, aging, weakness, stiffness, illness, pain, injury, disability, disintegration, and death, or mortality.

It is highly exhausting to be upholding the sense of pride and superiority that come from the attachment and identification towards certain qualities, abilities, achievements, and possessions that they have, that are limited, conditional, and impermanent. Not only that it takes a lot of energy or effort to maintain all that, but they also need to ceaselessly attain and possess more or higher quality, ability, achievement, and possession, and hence, upon intense exhaustion, maybe some of them will realize that they don't need to be the slave of pride and superiority that come from the possession and accumulation of qualities, abilities, achievements, and possessions that are impermanent, and out of their own freewill or desire, they want to let go the sense of pride and superiority. While there are some minds will never let go, and that's their freedom.

Some minds might question that how difficult can it be to just let go the sense of pride and superiority?

The sense of pride and superiority, a.k.a. the sense of momentary satisfaction, security, success, accomplishment, strength, and power, that are limited, conditional, and impermanent, is similar to any kinds of 'physical or mental addiction' that give the minds some momentary pleasurable enjoyable sensations or feelings that are limited, conditional, and impermanent, that the minds addicted onto.

It is not easy, but it's possible for the minds to let go of the sense of pride, superiority, success, strength, and power, that are there to suppress the many other qualities or impurities that exist in the modification of the mind that they don't like and don't want, such as the sense of low self-esteem, low self-worth, inferiority, failure, weakness, fear, insecurity, animosity, insufficiency, and powerless, reacting towards the presence of certain limitations or qualities in the body and mind that they don't like, disagree with, and don't desire.

It is also because of the ignorant egoistic impure minds don't like, disagree with, and don't desire certain undesirable qualities that exist in their body and their modification of the mind, that make them feel inferior, or insufficient, or weak, or insecure, or powerless, they will also be discriminate towards others that have certain qualities that they don't like, disagree with, and don't desire.

The minds that have discrimination and hatred towards some others, that cannot accept and be kind towards some others that they discriminate and hate, is because these minds have discrimination and hatred towards something in themselves that they don't like, disagree with, and don't desire, where they cannot accept and be kind to themselves as they are. If so, how can they accept and be kind towards some others as they are?

That's why the minds that know how to accept and be kind to themselves as they are, will also know how to accept and be kind to many others as they are, devoid of discrimination or hatred towards oneself and others.

One thing for sure. The most prideful and superior super successful, super strong, and super powerful person in the world will also have to bow down to DECAY and DEATH, when they can't even perform the simplest task, or can't even walk to the toilet, and can't control their pee and shit, or upon the heart stops beating, and the breath stops coming and going.

The unlimited degrees or amount of difficulty/challenge that exists in the yoga asana practice, the pranayama practice, and the concentration practice (especially in certain lineage that only focus on the yoga asana/pranayama/concentration practice, that deliberately doesn't talk about any philosophy at all - "99% of practice, 1% of theory", "Just do your practice, and all will come to you" that are designed for hammering or breaking the prideful ego of the practitioners that have a strong and energetic physical condition and personality), that has no limit of difficulty or challenge physically/mentally/emotionally, until the body and mind can't push any further, and breaks down.

Many people might think and believe that physical/mental/emotional breakdown is something bad and terrible, but it can be the precious life changing moment for the prideful arrogant minds to rethink and reflect upon themselves and life existence, and how they treat all the others in this world that doesn't belong to anyone and anything. Here, we are talking about the self discipline of performing the yoga asana/pranayama/concentration practice out of one's own freewill willingly to discipline one's own modification of the mind, without violence, or forced by some others.

This physical/mental/emotional breakdown process deriving from performing the challenging yoga asana practice, is coming from the prideful arrogant mind itself trying to push its body and mind beyond its limitation, that enables the mind to have direct experience and understanding towards the inevitable truth of limitation and impermanence in the body and mind, to be free from pride/arrogance/and many other egoistic impurities, but definitely it's not coming from some others impose/inflict certain violent and aggressive disciplinary training/punishment forcefully unto some others, to push them beyond their physical and mental limitation, in order to hammer and break them, to make them feel weak and vulnerable, to make them become submissive and surrender under their control.

That's why the challenging yoga asana practice being performed out of one's freewill, can help the minds to grow and evolve towards peace, wisdom, and kindness, and even if they haven't attained self realization yet, but just by performing the yoga asana practice regularly for certain months and years, will bring beneficial effects to the body and mind, that can improve the physical and mental health and fitness condition.

Meanwhile, the authoritarianism or disciplinarians that is about coming from someone (an authority or a disciplinarian) imposes/inflicts violent forceful aggressive disciplinary training/punishment or restrictive rules and regulations unto some others, to inflict certain painful physical and mental suffering unto some others, with the intention to make some others to become submissive towards the authority or the disciplinarian, to behave or don't behave in certain way, doesn't help the minds to grow and evolve towards peace, wisdom, and kindness, but the contrary of that.

Just like all kinds of world records in any kind of sports activities and competitions. A world record holder of weight lifting, or high jumping, or gymnastic competition understands that the physical body is limited, where it can never win against the unlimited weight, unlimited height, or unlimited difficulty, as well as the selfless impermanent changes that are not in the control of the body and mind, that can allow the prideful mind to have direct experience and understand towards the sense of pride and superiority as well as the optimistic positive thinking and belief, confidence, and affirmation about "I am highly knowledgeable, intelligent, talented, well-trained, young, healthy, fit, super energetic, super strong, super powerful, and superior human being. I can do and achieve anything that I desire," doesn't and cannot defy or escape DECAY, ILLNESS, INJURY, OLD AGE, and DEATH.

These competitive athletes understand that PRIDE and SUPERIORITY, 'achievement' and 'winning'/'victory', or 'world record' and 'world record holder', or the strongest/the fastest/the supplest/the lightest/the most talented/the most skillful/the most powerful/the most charming/the most influential, and etc, doesn't really mean anything for the physical body, or the life existence, that is limited, that is impermanent, that is extremely fragile.

There is really nothing that can be prideful about, and there is no superiority in anything.

The minds that understand this, will not hurt themselves or others.

Only the ignorant egoistic minds will think and believe that they (need to) have something that they can be prideful about, and that make them feel somehow more powerful or superior than many others, that boost the sense of self-esteem, self-worth, power, strength, security, accomplishment, and meaningfulness, that are also impermanent. These minds will be hurting themselves and others by constantly forcing their body and mind beyond its limitation in order to achieve higher and endless achievements, out of the sense of pride and superiority.

The minds that are devoid of the sense of pride and superiority,  even when they are highly successful, accomplished, intelligent, knowledgeable, talented, or skillful in something or many things, will also simultaneously be free from dissatisfaction, disappointment, greed, anger, hatred, discrimination, possessiveness, selfishness, low self-esteem, low self-worth, insecurity, humiliation, animosity, offensiveness, defensiveness, bully, jealousy, envy, fear, agitation, frustration, annoyance, violence, authoritarianism or disciplinarians, and all kinds of impurities. (The annihilation of duality, of all kinds of egoistic impurities)

That's why the annihilation of ignorance, the idea of 'I', egoism, impurities, and restlessness, is the highest duty of all minds.

Although the limited body and mind can never change or defeat the truth of selflessness and impermanence, but it can go beyond or transcend all kinds of limitation, not being determined or over-powered by all kinds of limitation, while make good use of the availability of energy, life existence, supportive condition, ability, knowledge, intelligence, talent, skill, opportunity, and possibility in the present moment now, to be doing something beneficial for oneself and others and the world, even if all these are limited, conditional, and impermanent.

Inquire the truth of everything.

About Yoga

Know thyself. Everything is impermanent and selfless. There is no 'I'. There is no 'I am selfless'/'I am not selfless'. There is no 'I am hurt'/'I need to be healed from hurt'. Non-blind believing, non-blind following, non-blind practicing and non-blind propagating, but be open-minded to inquire the truth of everything. Be free. Be peaceful. Be happy.
