When the teachings of yoga talks about Oneness, it doesn't mean that we need to make everyone become physically, mentally or spiritually identical with one another, or to have the same qualities of names and forms, thinking and beliefs, actions and reactions.
It is seeing the attributeless, nameless and formless true nature in all beings which is identical with the universal consciousness, that is beyond all the different qualities of names and forms that everyone has physically, mentally and spiritually, and respect everyone to have different qualities of names and forms from one another physically, mentally and spiritually.
Allow everyone to be what they are, even if we don't like and disagree with their thinking, beliefs, behavior, actions and reactions.
Allow everyone to have different thinking, beliefs, behaviors, actions and reactions, to be different from ourselves. Without trying to control or change others who have different qualities of names and forms, who have different thinking, beliefs, behaviors, actions and reactions, who are different from us, to be like us. But to respect and allow everyone to be who they are, as they are.
Allow ourselves to be different from others.
Just like within our physical body. Every single cell is separated from one another having their own individual life span and qualities, but they all have to 'work' together, performing their individual specific duties and responsibilities, to allow this physical body to be existing and functioning, forming the connective tissues, muscles, bone mass, ligaments, tendons, blood vessels, nerves, blood plasma, glands, secretions, hormones, central and peripheral nervous system, cardiovascular respiratory system, digestive system, immune system, elimination system, reproductive system, the arms, the hands, the fingers, the legs, the feet, the toes, the joints, the skin, the hair, the nails, the eyebrows, the eyelids, the eyelashes, and all the internal organs and sense organs to be 'living' in harmony with one another, and give support to one another. They all are having different shapes, sizes, appearances, features, characteristics and functions, duties and responsibilities.
They come together as one - forming the physical body, but they all are having their own individual uniqueness, different qualities, duties and responsibilities. The hands don't hate the legs. The eyes are not jealous of the ears. The fingers are useless if the arms are amputated. If the nerves that connect the fingers with the central nervous system stop functioning, the fingers can't move. Without the existence of light, the eyes are useless. Every function has to work together, and yet, they do not interfere with one another's duties and responsibilities. They allow each and everyone to perform their respective duties and responsibilities. If one of them stop functioning (or renounce it's duties and responsibilities), it will affect all the other functions, and yet, that is the reality that all the other functions have to accept. The ears or the nose can't get angry with the eyes that stop functioning which will 'increase' the duties of the other senses.
Without the support from the universe to provide energy and all the elements to form and give life to all these cells that form this physical body, there's no living physical body. Without the earth, where are we living on? Without the sunlight, the air, the water, the earth, where do we get food, oxygen and water that are essential for life? Without energy or life force, there's no mind or mind perceptions of names and forms. Without the function of the mind and mind perceptions, the physical body, the limbs, all the senses and sense organs are useless. There's no worldly life experience without energy or life force. What is 'good' or 'bad' beings? What is 'happy' and 'unhappy' beings? What is 'wise' or 'ignorant' beings? What is 'superior' or 'inferior'? What is 'beautiful' and 'ugly'? What is 'pride' and 'arrogance'? What is 'positive' and 'negative'? Who is this 'I'?
Om shanti.
